I know its only Lyall but would be interesting if we brought in to, I really hope we get Wilson or Janssen, not so much fused on Batshuayi

We only have 1 out and out striker and yet England have picked 5 in their 23. Yes we could do with 2 players. Last September We had Kane, Son & Pritchard (was expected to play at that time). As Pritchard is allegedly going and Son has proved he is better as a midfielder and NJie has yet to prove anything, I think we do need 2 strikers although 1 could be young and untested.
Under Jol we had 4 strikers and I know we played 4-2-2 then but they all got plenty of game time and I expect 3 strikers to also get plenty of game time but not all 3 at once.

Are you suggesting Pritchard was thought of as a striker?

And any other keeper would be heralded for all the point-winning saves he's made too. I can't think of one GK that we could realistically sign that is better, or even as good. Hugo is class.
He has been heralded for all the world class saves. My point was he hasn't been criticised much for his errors.
Yes, he's a top class keeper, but I can still admit he has weak points. My pants go each time he comes for a cross and when he has to kick under pressure.
To be fair, people are quick to cunt someone else on our team for not being in the correct position and making the same error again which costs a goal, i.e., Walker, but when it comes to Hugo fucking up a cross and doing the same thing, again, nobody does.
Let's be honest, Hugo is weak in the air/commanding his box

Yeah, you might have a point there. I personally think Hugo was among our most important (and best) players up until this season. He had a poor finish to 2015/16 too but there are few I'd have over him.

Maybe because he does so much right that we can forgive him his few foibles.

It depends. We're not scouts or analysts. Some say keepers are hard to scout. Some say clubs don't try very hard to figure out how to scout them, leading to a lot of decisions based on "reputation."

By Hugo's incredibly high standards he has made a few errors this season.. but it's a drop in the ocean compared to what he has done right, consistently, at keys times. Fair shout on the crosses/corners point but to criticize his command of the box seems harsh - we all know he's lightning fast off his line and not afraid of a challenge.

Batra, Umtiti

Mkhitaryan, Schurrle, Wanyama, Witsel, Mata, Ritchie, Kovacic

Batsuyashi, Lacazette, Embolo, Zlatan, Wilson, Deeney, Griezmann.

All the players we've been linked with so far, who do you all think we'll end up with?
