I know that his decison to continuously give mason and carroll chances can't have anything to do with their performances on the pitch. Thats not guess work...thats fact being that they provide nothing when on the pitch (whats our ridiculously bad win record when mason is starting again?). I also know that benteleb was given 1 game when returning from injury...played shite...and never played again WHILST Mason got countless chances upon his return from injury despite playing worse than benteleb did in his 1 game. I just like players being treated fairly tbh and it doesnt really seem like some of them are imho.

But as ive said that's all you've got. Some average performances, from that you gleam that these players are being picked over arguably superior players because their attitude is better and they say the right things? Presumption.

Who's to say that Bentaleb and Son would have performed any better in the same games, or that a well motivated and tacitly disciplined player is a worse choice than a technically superior player who is less committed to the application of the manager's vision.

Poch's teams are renowned for being greater than the sum of their parts, and in playing a system that relies heavily on each player doing their share of the leg work.

Perhaps, Poch sees the benefit of investing playing time in a young player who buys into his philosophy with the intention of developing them into a better player who is more suited to his system.

I don't know. Just speculating... ; )

Dembele is a prime example of what VirginiaSpur VirginiaSpur and mouse mouse are saying, even if he is a lot more gifted then the ones being mentioned. He had to change his attitude and bought into the Poch philosophy resulting in him having the best season in his career and becoming the player people knew he could be. As a coach with a plan, you need players to follow that plan.

Yeah, maybe. But the guy twisted my words to suit his/her own agenda chasing a few funnies. That's patronising. He/she knew exactly what I was saying.

If you're talking about me, it's you being a dumb ass.

You were asked "which players did we used to attract".

Your response is that they are retired. No fucker suggested we go back and get them, some of us are just keen to know who they are.

When players retire, they're not stuck from history like some sort of Orwellian traitor, so I'm sure you can answer the question without being a patronising twat. Or can you?

Don Giovanni Don Giovanni has a massive hard-on right now

So Wolfsburg are interested in Son...and Draxler wants to leave Wolfsburg for a CL club....and we need somebody who can play on the left or as an attacking mid.....:kanehand:

I hope Son stays but we have too many in his position and as usual Poch will be ruthless which is one of the best things I like about him

Ha ha. It's all 'trust in Poch' until he gets rid of someone's favourite. Then it's all 'ooh, but I like Sonny'. Just another empty phrase really. I think he's an excellent judge of a player. :pochfacepalm:

This is new, so a "journalist" comes up with a story because one of our expensive players was not in the squad at the weekend (even though he was in olympics)

Whatever next!?

I think most of them have already jumped ship to the new EPL 'Champions'!

Nah, the Koreans hate the Japanese.

Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Onomah, N'koudou.(maybe)

So you'd be comfortable with a player who has never scored a league goal and a player who might not even sign as the only backups for that attacking trio? I think Son has been a huge disappointment, and there are reasons to think about selling him, but the idea that we're too deep at his position is insane.
