IIRC Pau Lopez was in play before Hugo's injury, which would seem to indicate that maybe Vorm was on the move. With Hugo's injury he has stepped up and maybe the thought is that he'll get some good minutes in the cups? The Lopez thing was meant to be emergency cover for Hugo, which is pointless now -- he is supposed to be back for the Sunderland game.
Why bring in a player to sit on the bench v Stoke then be 3rd choice the rest of his loan period?
Lightning strikes every season. There's always a bit more room at the top than anyone expected at the start of the season, only last season there was a lot more room. Someone will under-perform. One of the Mancs or Chelsea will probably find it difficult to meet the hype. Woolwich will do as Woolwich does, playing brinksmanship with the top 4 but not really going for it. Leicester will find it very difficult to continue with the trends of last season, and this will be Liverpool's year, until it isn't.
Who's emotional? I'm dead inside.I really don't understand why you're all so emotional about signing a keeper.
...and so it begins.I will be royally fucked off if come 11pm we've added no one else to the playing staff. Simply put, our best line-up this season is exactly the same as last year, and you simply cannot stand still in the Premier League and expect to make progress. Just for once I was hoping that all additions would have been bought and integrated into the squad come season kick-off (of course, if no one else is added then that's exactly what has occurred). Even the dead, cold heart of Levy must have warmed up enough upon Champions League qualification to realise that substantial investment was required if progression in that competition along with the Premier League was to be achieved. With all of the Premiership big boys spending money like it's going out of fashion (along with high profile managerial switch arounds) we could well find ourselves in a worse position going forward than we were when we achieved CL qualification in 2010.
Can you tell us why we are trying to sign players if we dont need them? or is it all complete fabrication including N'Koudou? So we all identified DM and ST at the start of the window as the place to strengthen. We do that, and do that early.
Happy days for all the melters that wanted early action and strengthening in the right places, surely?
In fact, I remember these melters moaning about the Janssen deal as he wasn't in for the start of pre-season.
Oh, no!
They now use the one thing they've moaned about (leaving it late) as a tool to have a pop again!
They now actually want late action and desperate signings on deadline day! Otherwise it's another ''failed window''.
Jesus Christ. Some of you don't even know you're born.
We could sign Messi and some of you would still moan we didn't address some ill-conceived hole in the squad.
It just perfectly sums up our inability to close a deal, it's really starting to annoy meI really don't understand why you're all so emotional about signing a keeper.
No reason in putting an offer in if the player doesn't want to join
What? I'm Simply telling it like it is. Don't shoot the messenger
Need Daniel for sales and Perez for purchases lol. We're so lucky to have Daniel Levy. Other fans must be so jealous.
It is quite literally the last position that we need to strengthen in, so I'm quite happy if it means that any remaining effort will go to strengthening outfield players. It just perfectly sums up our inability to close a deal, it's really starting to annoy me
Other fans love him , as they know he willWe're so lucky to have Daniel Levy. Other fans must be so jealous.
