Disappointed at the result? Yes. Miserable? Hmmm. I told you weeks ago that all this title talk is setting people up for just this feeling of being miserable you're talking about. If we finish second in the league, like we probably will do, it's a season to be very grateful for. It was very likely that we would lose or draw one before the end of the season. I just can't get too down in the dumps at this because I just hoped we would win the title. I never expected it. So, please, stop calling out other fans because they didn't approach it the same way you did.

I don't want to come across as numb, but surely I can't be the only one glad to shake off the "title" talk?

There's no way in hell we were ever going to get more points than Chelsea, given their run in. It's been torturous starting to believe, but like Carragher said the other day - we've just not had the luck these last two seasons. We've played brilliantly, won more points already than have won the league previously, and yet it's not been enough to win the title.

Can we get on with enjoying our last few games, especially at WHL, and celebrate finishing 2nd? Yes, it's painful to lost against the gloating caravanners, but it's about par for the course.

It's a young team - they'll learn and we'll be stronger for it.

Very good post. I'm sick of hearing the term "bottled it" every time we look like dropping points.

They played like it's their fucking cup final even more so than they usually do and got the scuffiest luckiest goal ever. If we got the luck and Kane's first half effort went in we'd have stuffed them.

There's no denying we were poor but we've just won 9 games in a row! Something was going to give at some point. It's just gutting that it was tonight.

A very good season (not great , that's for winners ) heads held high , proud of the team ,
add quality in the summer and let's push on next season .
Poch has been a genius over the season and by far the best manager , especially compared to
blood money plastic clubs .

Yes there is no denyint the season has been fantastic , Poch has done extremely well and so has the squad, but I can't understand or accept how we end a fantastic run to a mickey mouse team that isn't 1/10th as good as us
 
This is a WEAK west ham side with many injuries and a very predictable set up. Poch needs to have a look at himself and see where his tactics went wrong, so he can fix it next time . All other teams who we have to play this season will do the same.

Can we not be annoyed for five fucking minutes after losing to West Ham?

YES it's been a great season
YES I'm proud
YES the title was a long shot


But we lost to a team I despise and I reserve the right to be down about it.
What should we do? Celebrate?
 
Always going to be a tough ask with chelseas fixtures, we've got so much to be proud of.

Would rather it happened tonight than last Sunday or next Sunday. Or on the final day for that matter. West Ham are about as relevant to me as stoke city. Let them enjoy it, don't bite, there's no need.
 
Even watching the game, fine there is a scoreline in the top left and I was disappointed......
but I couldn't help look at that stadium, the sheer distance the fans are, the off green to the sides of the pitch, it must be really hard to swallow. Plus the fact they were so happy with their one result this season, so proud to be who we are, when mid table is your ceiling, Jesus must be terrible
