I don't think any 1 player is going to improve the squad "dramatically". But he is better than and probably has more potential than some of our squad players so yes he would improve it.I just wonder how many Spurs supporters think Barkley will improve the squad dramatically. He is better than Sissoko which is not too difficult, has more playing experience than Winks and Onoma but well behind anyone in the starting XI. Poch can do wonders with most players, is he one of them?!
TBH I feel sorry for him, he had nasty comments from a journalist and then that punch in a bar like a knock out, ouch.
We need a VDV like signing.
Going wrong is spending over 150M on a couple new signings, and paying them more than our star players. When you say "goes wrong" what do you mean? When we continue to fall short?
Almost certainly a ploy to rinse a few punters with a fruitless bet on Chelsea signing him.Good news for those of you who think Barkley ain't good enough for us. Betfair now have him odds against, for the first time, to join Spurs (5/4). With odds on him going to Chelsea dramatically slashed to 10/3
Betfair are a pretty good indicator of market movements tbf. The exchange odds are actually driven by where the money's going. Not the other way round. We're still favourites, but the money's going on Chelsea just now.Almost certainly a ploy to rinse a few punters with a fruitless bet on Chelsea signing him.
Apparently Barkley has not joined Everton for their next pre-season trip for all that's worth.
Not good enough for us but the market now suggesting last seasons champions want him.Good news for those of you who think Barkley ain't good enough for us. Betfair now have him odds against, for the first time, to join Spurs (5/4). With odds on him going to Chelsea dramatically slashed to 10/3

Fair dos.
He certainly seems to be off somewhere given the omission from their tour squad.
At this rate we'll get in trouble for tapas'ing him up
Best sign no one thenGoing wrong is spending over 150M on a couple new signings, and paying them more than our star players.
Then they turn out like Soldado, Lamela in the first two years, Janssen, Sissoko etc and then they get written off halfway through their first season.
Confidence drops, end up on the bench while our elite players get tapped up with offers to double their wages, because obviously Spurs value the new boys more.
Oh.....you want to pay the whole squad "whatever it takes" to keep them too?
Riiiight, so a couple new signings on massive wages and pay all our players more too, doubling our carefully calculated wage bill, plus the signing fees.....plus the stadium.
Yeah, what could possibly go wrong?
I swear some of you think if you ain't in debt, you're shiiiiiiiiiit.
Not good enough for us but the market now suggesting last seasons champions want him.
What doooo these stupid top class managers see in him?

That isn't strictly true. Or more to the point, yes, it does reflect the betting market but only because that market is so small that any bet of substance will swing it. It certainly doesn't reflect the probability one way or another of any outcome.Betfair are a pretty good indicator of market movements tbf. The exchange odds are actually driven by where the money's going. Not the other way round. We're still favourites, but the money's going on Chelsea just now.
