Wasn't able to watch because was in the Porto stadium. The statistics show that we were the better team. Were we?

Ah I don't want to see Sissoko again, useless.Don't want to bang on this too much, but Poch needs to not let his subs go so late. Bring Son on at 60, Janssen at 70, and Sissoko never again.

I agree. That's why I don't get how some people could say we'd get on fine without Walker because we have Trippier. He is good but he is no wingbackI don't know how you can play Davies and Trippier and expect to beat a well organised defensive top team. Their inability to break with pace forced our attacking trio to put a shift in our wide when they should have been expecting balls between the lines in the centre. We lost because the 2 players we put in the wingback position in a 3-4-2-1 formation are not suited to it. I like them, don't get me wrong, but we will not challenge for anything with them in the starting 11 in that formation
It was weird. Everyone surprised. It looks he's on his way out.
Thanks mate! And now I'm sad.I always find that question nigh on impossible.
Yes in some respects but never so dominant as to say yes with conviction.
I did not think this is a game we will not lose today and last season I nearly always felt that.
For me we do need players but even more we need our stars to wake up which of course they might if we had more players.
Better team? No.

I think we need to downplay our dominance. The game that i watched, how the hell did we so fragile defensively, at one point i saw Eriksen tries to cover LB without a backup behind him, mind you its not counter attacking play.
Maybe Davies is tired, thats why Poch take him out.
Lloris should had save that, but i dont understand why anybody could blame him for his throw. Yes now it looks suspect considering how Wanyama plays all game, but we are trying to win the game at that time, and Wanyama is the best way to sent the ball on counter. GK will never consider the form of his teammates for a distribution. Unless maybe there is Eriksen being really close to Wanyama, then he should have pass to better player with the ball.
I bet you any other player would have sent the ball on a dangerous counter besides Wanyama, Dier might i guess. Dont know why but he often dont aware of his surroundings whe he is on the ball.
Also i have said this for quite a while, we need a player that is good with corner. Davies is not a setpiece taker. Eriksen not bad on corner, but also not great.
Yes they are lucky to win this, but we should be better, much better.
This defeat is on Poch and Wanyama though. Hope he catch up real quick. How did Poch think to play him on CB is a curious one. He is way off today, even in short period, we see people get pass him at ease.
Shit, i hate losing to this lot.
They have no redeeming features, kind of liked Conte for a bit last season, but he's turned into a cunt as well...Can't remember a single game last season that made me as dissapointment by the result as today's loss to a shit Chelsea. The thieving cunts did not deserve this. It hurts so much more to lose to those fuckers than most other teams. I think they are now my number one most hated team.
Strange and frustrating day out.
Embarrassed by the flags and silly drum - understand that the club are trying to kindle some WHL atmosphere but just let us and the players get on with that...
We were slow and sluggish to start. Morata missed a sitter with the header and when Alonso lined up the free kick it had goal written all over it.
Their goal woke us up however and the 15 minutes leading up to HT should have seen us equalise at the very least. In the 2nd half we carried on where we left off with a flurry of chances before regressing back to the error strewn and tentative beginning of the game.
Our goal came out of a set piece at a time when I was beginning to think it wasn't our day. From that point onward though, there was only one winner - fucking US - until a big flapping balls up hurt us massively.
I was quietly concerned about our season at Wembley, now I'm shitting it. We have a mental block against Chavski - this lot we're there for the taking today and we bottled it.
Couldn't agree more about the full backs and yes, I too never want to see Sissoko in a Spurs shirt again..
