Match The mighty Tottenham Hotspur v. Plastic chavs

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just about all of the time I agree with your posts, but this I cant. We deserved a draw at very least. Our keeper barely had anything to do and when he had to unfortunately for us he didnt. Any other day its a draw. Its not a curse, we played well, just didnt get what we should have got. Different to last season there in the CL where we were shit and got what we deserved, which was fuck all (a not so happy birthday for me vs. Leverkusen after getting to the ground and finding out there was no booze)
I think the point I am trying to make is that there was more riding on this game than it just being another league match. I said as much before the game. I think this could well harm us. If you look at it just by itself you are probably right. But this was and should have been a cup final game for us to show we have the mettle to be a title winning side. In my opinion we failed that test today.

Not good - Vic and Hugo especially both poor today, but then none of them were great bar Moussa, and we do surely have to get rid of Sissoko. And yet we were by far the better team, and the 'champions' came and got lucky an then parked the bus. No class that club - either team or fans.

Worst thing though tbh was the moaning miserable middle-aged gits sat behind me who screamed "get it in the fuckin box" every time we had the ball, and then slagged off whatever player did wrong. Like after watching 40 years of football they're somehow better coaches, tacticians and players than the pros they're watching.

It really might turn out to be a long old season……

Yup, but sometimes shit doesnt go your way. I have no doubt we'll be fine in every other game we play there if we put in the same performance

We were but Hugo also culpable, Dele anonymous, Eriksen heavily marked, Tripps poor,

Positives Harry, Moose, Jan, Toby

The bottom line is Conte got his tactics correct. Mark Dele and Eriksen out of the game and we have ..........?

With little if any pace in our side we became predictable, and had something like sixty percent of the ball, but did really fuck all with it. As much as i hate to say it we need a Willian type player who can take a defender on, bring others into the game, and has fucking pace that is something quicker than a downhill version of Stephen Hawkins.

Shit goes the way of trophy winning sides. That aside, my issue is the inevitable bullshit about the Wembley curse that will flow, and I think we could do without that. Plus, does it not say that we're not quite there yet that Chelsea are "in crisis" yet still find a away to get one over us? I'm sick of it.

I think both games this season have already shown us that maybe even more teams than last season will show us respect.

That is fine but we have to learn to concentrate better than we did today and somehow move that ball more quickly, and of course take our chances.

I actually think this is going to end up being a transitional season for Pochettino, who I think may see it as necessary to move 1 or 2 of our stars on next summer.

It is possible that at times to go forward you also make changes.

The only slight positive I find in Arse and Chelsea scraping results before Sept 1st is that it (hopefully) means they won't panic and strengthen their teams.

I'll never, ever grumble as long as I am in the ground in my seat....and, with all due respect to 1882 1882 , I have to say that I liked the fact that the club had tried to impart memories of the Lane, including the drum, which was sorely missed.

Today was a joke, That fucking Drumb that is definitely a audio recording it sounds so stupid and fake and i was right above the chelsea fans and every time they heard the drum they was having a good laugh and taking the complete piss and made us look even more like mugs and complete twats , performance wise it was not the best i have seen i WONT BE returning to wembely for rest of season regardless paid £77 for my ticket and it was a joke for what i paid will try go to away matches but apart from that will be dodgy streams and NOW TV

Arse, hopefully. Chelsea? Mindless cash.

To be honest if we get fourth I'll be happy this year, but I'd be a liar if I secretly didn't want more and I just felt we could've gotten something today if we'd really gone all out. Credit to Levy, he's obviously tried to bring over some of the feel of The Lane, and it was only the crowd that let us down in terms of atmosphere. Perhaps if that was different we may have had a result...

My seat is above the away fans and I heard no laughing at the drum audio.

You paid £77? I paid £1100...and I didn't hear the laughing you did. You sure you were there?

I can't help but feel that individuals let us down. It's obviously a psychological issue for the players.

The harsh reality is that we are unlikely to be able to match or better last season's form when we've already lost a game so early. It's already 25% of the games we lost in the league last season.

:memeokay:
