Match The mighty Tottenham Hotspur v. Plastic chavs

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm usually an optimist but we've been taking the positives out of these kind of results for too long.

The 14/15 league cup final, battle of the bridge, 16/17 fa cup semi and now today. Played well in all those games and didn't get the result we needed.

Today was massive, we needed to shut down the Wembley hoodoo chat, we were always gonna be the better team because they had 4 key players missing!

This team is talented enough to win a title but the mentality still isn't there, we lost to a title rival who were supposedly in dissaray and we were the home side. Not good enough!

Also it's not an excuse but the atmosphere at Wembley is non existent, already missing the lane!!

Onwards and upwards obviously, but champions win these sort of games :/

I fancy that if it was at WHL we'd have got more than what we ended up with. Wembley will, unfortunately see us lose a bit of Spurs this year. The same goes for the first year or so in the new stadium.

No tourists allowed please! The new stadium cannot open quick enough

Just back in from double shift.
Never got to see game.
THANK FUCK!!

From what i've read I could have just watched last years semi again.
Another shitshow against the chavs.

Fucking hate that I love this club so much.
Stop breaking my heart you cunts!!! :(

It is, but it took us 13 games to lose last year.

We are not going to be a title winning side this year. Expectations need to be managed. As long as we get top four and keep out the likes of The Scum, that will be a decent season.
I always thought consolidating top 4 in a year away from WHL would be a fantastic achievement & stand by that. I don't really care about how many games we went without losing. It became a monkey on our back & we drew too many in that time. So it's back to winning ways next week.

Probably agree although I will look at it after 5 games.

By then I think we will get a better indication.

Right now most teams, bar United are finding their feet.

That makeshift Chelsea side still cost x3 the amount of money to assemble than ours.

Atmosphere, I've been dreading, but I thought it was better (louder) than at any Wembley game we have played, including cup semi's. That fucking drum in the first half actually caused about three songs to die.

Possibly the worst cliche in football.

It is a cliche but we just lost to a very weakened title rival at home. There comes a point where performences need to become results.

We're a fantastic football team and are very capable of winning trophies but we need to take points from these sort of games. Imagine we went to Stamford bridge without Kane Alli Dembele and Toby, and won! Thats close enough to what Chelsea did to us today.. their confidence will be through the roof now.

I'm still confident we will turn it round at Wembley and I'm looking forward to a good season.. just a little annoyed we let a great opportunity slip again today.

We took points from 'these sorts of games' last season. We won 2-0 and ended their 13 game winning streak. Is that so quickly forgotten?

Very good point regarding the money. However our team are defiantly capable of winning games like today. It's the fact that we played well and didn't get a result again that annoys me. (Just like the fa cup, Monaco, Stamford bridge last season, gent.)

No doubt Chelsea are a good side though, if they've shown anything in their last two games with us, it's that they're are very clinacal

Not at all, don't get me wrong, we've had some cracking results against the big boys last couple of seasons. I'm more referring to our games at Wembley.

I don't buy into the pitch size and atmosphere reasonings, I think it's just a mental thing with the players. And I just feel today was a great chance to get over that.

I don't want to sound overly negative here, I know it's just one game and we're going to bounce back. It just hurts losing to them lot again after outplaying them. Only just got over the fa cup to be honest.
