IT WAS FUCKING FUN UNTIL IT LASTED!

Sorry, but Im fuming.

Annoying; but give it a year and see if he moves over to Juve very quickly.

I very much doubt this has anything to do with our failings, but is more down to Balde wanting some Monaco-tax-rate salary in a sunny part of the world playing for a team who have demonstrated they'll sell (in this case probably to Juve) for the right price.

If he came to us and did the business then we wouldn't be letting him go anywhere else anytime soon.

Our manager who sold Walker, and went for Aurier despite being fully aware of the legal issues (or is he a Levy target in your mind)

Our manager who has reportedly got cold feet on Barkley (his target for a whole year) two days before the window shut. Or are his injury concerns Levys fault.

Our manager who hasnt specifically targeted any forwards, yet has loaned out Onomah and sold Njie without giving him a shot? Or has Levy told him to only target defenders and CMs?

Our manager who said one week he is happy with the squad, and the next he wants 4 players?
(Two of which he got)

Our manager who said KWP wasnt ready then played him in the opener?

Our manager who keeps saying Wembley isnt a problem when we all know it is?

Oh Im a "Poch lover" alright, but take your tongue out of his batty mate....he's done enough to take a bit of credit for any humiliation he might have to suffer
What a load of shit

I swear if that paves a way for Lemar to join Liverpool or Woolwich...

Wait a sec mate isn't this a bit hypocritical, you've been having a go at people over the summer for being negative and criticising levy, but here you are criticising our manager. So is it only okay to voice concerns with the club if they are the same concerns you have?

People can criticise Levy all they want, I have a problem with people who make unrealistic demands of the club and accuse him of ruining our future. People who want us to compete with City and Chelsea with wages and transfers, and who want us to be in debt before they take us seriously.

I would have stopped supporting Spurs if Levy moved us to Stratford. Im sure all those would have lauded him for it we won the PL there though? Each to their own I guess.

I also find it hilarious that people think Poch and Kane are immune from critique, but the Burnley game is somehow Levys fault

No, whats shocking is thinking there is a person on this planet beyond critique. No one is beyond critique.

Thats ironic, because neither do you......yet you claim

Nit pick all you want over semantics but the player wasnt sold over Pochs head. He wanted him out, and that much is obvious.

Barkley has been injured all summer, so if he didnt want an injured player, he should have pulled interest way before this week

Personally Id rather he said, we need to adapt and will take a while

Yeah, my point was he hasnt identified his replacement in the squad though

He said it a few days before playing him.....we had no one else, I know. So why not say "he's ready".
Which he was.

No he could have said what he did a week later.....about signing 3 or 4 players, if thats what he felt. He said it anyway after, so think about that before you ask "what was he supposed to say..."

None of that has any bearing on what I said, its just rant

Yes you are right, I don't know what goes on behind closed doors either. My suggestions on what may have happened or be the case, are exactly that.... 'suggestions' you seem to believe this is all poch but forget there are a lot of other people involved in getting deals done. If levy doesn't want to pay X then he won't and poch won't get his player, then onto the next target and so on. You forget the media drum up a lot of rubbish over it. A simple enquiry gets leaked and blown out of proportion. Eg Barkley. Sometimes an offer may get made and rejected but it isn't mentioned iinthe press.

Any manger who has any half decent man management ability won't sit there and criticise his squad and say anything like that. All I have heard him say is that they will buy players that will improve the team not that he needs X amount of players. A vague statement like that is exactly what mangers will give you.

So in short, your guesses are more right than my guesses.

Ok mate nice one

just under 50 hours till jubilant surprises or 2015 levels of Berihino ( spelling ) meltdown.

Overall, whatever happens now, it's been an odd transfer window. Never in a million years expected 2 Centre backs & a keeper. Neither of those were immediately obvious areas of concern. Additions in midfield and attack yep, but it would seem Kevin and Vincent have the chance to go again, would never have thought that : ostrich:

Deadline day surprise of Benteke and Zaha ? I'd personally like to see a cheeky loan move for Di Maria..... but who the fuck knows. The whole thing is mental. Could end up with Adam Smith from Bournemouth yet !

We'll end up with (in my vaguely informed opinion) by the window closes

  • Davinson Sanchez (club record fee €40m ish)
  • Paulo Gazziniga (£2.5m approx)
  • Ross Barkley (I estimate £23m with add-ons)
  • Juan Foyth (probably £12m with add-ons)
  • Serge Aurier (around €25m all in)
  • Ryan Sessegnon (around £20m + add-ons)
and maybe even something a bit audacious. So easily £100m spend.

Yet again, we'll have managed to improve nearly every area of the team and maybe even hit net spend by selling players like Wimmer for £18m. I'm sure someone will find a reason to burst the balloon of joy, though.
Fair enough. If that scenario were to unfold without a trade off of any more of our top players I'll come on here and lick Levy's balls till the cows come home.
Now, can you give me an alternative scenario where you would be prepared to level some criticism at Levy and admit the transfer window has been a let down at best or shambles at worst?

It will be a bit of a let down for me if 5 players leave and one comes in (outfield) as it stands now.

Poch is guilty of not using his full squad, even when he could give players a shot, and I was hoping to replace the fringe players with trusted improvements.

Sanchez seems a step up from Wimmer, but it will be extremely thin to continue as we are.

Not really sure how you can force our targets to join though, or clubs to sell. Id rather promote kids than panic buy, and to be honest, I wouldnt lose any sleep over it.

With two day left, Transfer market 17/18:

Players Sold
KW £46m
Wimmer £18m
Bentaleb £17m
Njie £6m
Fazio £3
============
Total £90m

Player Bought
Sanches £40m
Gazzinga £3
============
Total £43m

NET + £47m
