We've replaced Walker with Aurier, Wimmer with Sanchez, CCV (loan) with Foyth and added a striker who knows what a goal is. ALL of them were coveted by top sides.

That's on top of the fact that the squad is a year older and more experienced than the one we had last year.

AM: Lamela, Son, Sissoko, N'koudou
FW: Kane, Llorente, Janssen


That's 22 outfield players, so enough to field two strong teams and still have players on a bench

Honestly people are ridiculous. As you say it's about as much depth as you can realistically expect. And apart from Man City you still have players who are utter pony in the first XIs of all the other top clubs such as Blind at Man U, Mignolet and the centrebacks at Liverpool etc.
 
Its been a poor window in the context of moving on some of the deadwood at the club like Sissoko and Janssen.

Llorente is a useful stop gap but we really do need to address that issue with a more long term option.
