I'm pretty certain Barkley won't happen.

Why would we pay £20-30 million for a player who is injured, can't play until December-Jan and who is in his final year of his contract?

I'd love for Levy NOT to buy Barkley this year, but to go in during January or next Summer. It's unfortunate, but it makes no financial sense to pay for something you can get for free simply by waiting.

I would hope some contact can be made with Barkley, convincing him not to accept offers from Chelsea or anyone else if he wants to fulfill his career and potential then simply wait it out.

I can't believe we've actually, so far, signed Gazzaniga, Sanchez (club record), Foyth, Aurier and Llorente, and still over on SC there's pages of complaining, "Same thing every year", "Lessons Learnt" and "Poch will be furious".

We've gone from having signed no-one, to actually having one of the best transfers in the league, and still people whinge...It's embarrasing.

So, that's us done then:

1) Poch said four plus Gazza. Check.
2) Gomes played tonight for Portugal - I just don't see that being an indicator that he is about to sign.
3) Mahrez has gone AWOL (don't really want anyway)
4) Barkley was always a long shot - he's crocked and in the last year of contract. Would DL really pay £30m + for that? January most likely.
