Match Galacticos v the mighty Tottenham

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Some of those lot were alright....but for the most part :pochlol:

Jealous cunts, I couldn't manage to summon the energy after a dozen posts. I 7nderstand they're confused, they're scoring CL points but still playing in last year's EL. Meanwhile we're topping the CL "group of death".

Fuck them. Fuck every cunt everywhere. Fuck. Them. All.

We are Tottenham, Super Tottenham, from The Lane!

Their bench is very good if you know just a little about football outside of Tottenham

And if you knew something about Tottenham you would know that Barkley is not a step up from Winks, or Dembele, and that we have an extremely competative squad. Probably the best outiside City in the PL.

But people are welcome to fawn over the likes of Salah, Siggy, Batshuai, Fabregas, Musonda, Lingard, Blind etc all they like.......I really dont care.

We just drew at the Bernabau and sit 3rd in the PL without Dembele and Wanyama 99% of the season, no Dele in any of our CL games, no Davies yesterday etc etc etc

KWP came in on the opening day and we won 2-0 away. A great debut.....some people have no faith in the acadamy or the squad and will be here in January saying all the same shit they said in the summer.

You know what. I couldnt give a fuck......the pundits have got into certain fans heads, and they believe the mantra.
Good luck to them, Spurs proving you all wrong though.

Harry and a fan, what a guy making someone day better
They're playing thumb wars!

Just generally proud. Proud we went there and tried to play. Proud we didn’t let them dominate or intimidate. Proud we could have turned them over. Proud of all of them, especially the younger lads for showing their class. Draw was fair. One more win should just about do it.

Couldn’t give a fuck what other people are saying, that was a gutsy performance and a deserved point. Missing 5 potential starters. Christ man can you imagine our squad when everyone is healthy? No depth? Fucking morons.

1 GK Hugo Lloris (captain)
2 DF Kieran Trippier
3 DF Danny Rose
4 DF Toby Alderweireld
5 DF Jan Vertonghen (third captain)
6 DF Davinson Sánchez
7 FW Son Heung-min
10 FW Harry Kane (vice-captain)
11 MF Érik Lamela
12 MF Victor Wanyama
13 GK Michel Vorm
15 MF Eric Dier
17 MF Moussa Sissoko
18 FW Fernando Llorente
19 MF Mousa Dembélé
20 MF Dele Alli
23 MF Christian Eriksen
24 DF Serge Aurier
29 MF Harry Winks
33 DF Ben Davies

2 of those guys wouldn’t even make the bench.
I agree with your point, but did Nkoudou end up in some alternate reality on your list?

I think Barkley could well add some depth, but with the development of Winks you'd have to say that he'd be a benchwarmer at best and I have a hard time believing he'd settle for that.

Winks had the most important game of his life yesterday. Not so much because it was a CL game, but because he showed he has it in him to acquit himself at the highest level. I'd say that he and Kyle Walker-Peters have progressed more quickly than expected, a testament to Poch, and that progression is helping us to reduce our squad depth concerns, which in turn goes to show you how wrong the transfer crybabies were in thinking the only solution to our supposed "problems" was big money signings in the first week of the transfer window.

I don't think I can remember a time when I have more faith in the decision making of our manager. From his tactics, to team selection to his development of players and even his transfer targets (Sissoko and Llorente!!), 85% of the time he gets it right. In Poch I trust. Give him that 15 year contract baldy!!

Just watched the highlights again.. Lloris is a freak of nature. Some of those saves were unreal.

Navas’s saves from Kane is very good as well. On another day we could have won that, but we also could have lost.

That’s an unexpected point, which means we really only need 3 points to be through. I think we’ll go unbeaten in the group. Beat Apoel at Wembley then draw the other two.

Last night was a turning point because now I believe we will start attracting those big name players who now know who Spurs are!

Harsh given that he hasn't had a chance to really do much. Poch clearly still sees something in him unlike others like N'Jie.
Agreed. GK has all the qualities that Poch likes so I don't doubt that if he bunkers down and works hard he will get opportunities. He also plays in a position where we need people so he is without a doubt valuable. Sucks that he got concussed last weekend but he'll get minutes no worries

I predict a win against Apoel, a loss against Madird, who I think will look to save face, and a draw against Dortmund. That's 11 points and neither Dortmund or Apoel can now finish on any more than 10 in the group.

He has a point as much as it pains to admit
Yes and no. The "point" presumes that every player is eager to walk out the door the second they don't get mega bucks. Sure, there are plenty of players like that (hello Kyle *waves*) but I think the club has been careful to assemble a squad that is not just about money. I honestly think that if it was more than just Walker and Rose would have agitated for more money and/or a move probably last year or the year before rather than signing new contracts like most of our top players did. At the end of the day these pundits just look at it from the outside and don't l know the thoughts and feelings of the players and training staff behind closed doors. They may be happy to forgo higher wages in the short term because they believe (as I do) that sooner or later the trophies are coming because the squad is continue to get better and better and then they'll worry about money after that. If that were to be the case then to me it is unhelpful for these pundits (Rio Ferdinand was also at it again last night) to be constantly feeding them the message that they should be banging on Levy's door for mega bucks. In other words I worry that it will have a negative impact on squad unity.
