Didn't Poch say he regrets giving Edwards the "little messi" moniker because now everyone expects him to be in the first team squad? I know Poch said Edwards is not first squad ready but needs to build fitness and not rush it at the end of the summer window.

For our own sake, we need it cause believe it or not, it is still classed as a major trophy. It also means that little bit more when youve gotta play a heap of mouthy shite like them lot tonight.

They will be up for this one though... no doubt about it. and they will start carroll up front. Theyve got no choice. They need a positive result.

As for the line up.. I believe that any team poch puts out will be more than capable of getting the job done.
The only way we can lose tonight would be if we really do have a shite night at the office from start to finish.

Normally I would want to be involved in all cup comps but not this one. Saturday is the big one so lets rest our main men tonight and give the reserves a run out!
 
I want us to win this game, but I wouldn’t be too upset if we didn’t. Losing to them would hurt, but exiting the competition, not really.
Of course all games are important but I think we have other priorities in the next week and 4 days.
Man U away, Madrid Home and Palace.
They will play their strongest team. They will be up for it as they always are.
We can’t risk injuires and wil have to rest some players

Please. Dembele can't be relied on for more than 30 games a season now. Possibly 20.

Can we please limit him to matches against the top 6 and CL matches (excluding dead rubbers that Appoel might be), and top it up with away matches at Cat B teams.

Sticking him in tonight - why risk Noball kicking lumps out of him out of spite? Sunderland away last season, almost had his knee sliced off. Pros know how good he is.

Alli has been less busy than some of his teammates and personally I think the momentum could do him good. Winks if Dembele isnt fit enough.

45 mins then bring Winks on or move Sissoko back and bring on someone else.
Needs match fitness.
Think he can manage at least 25 starts in the PL (excluding sub apps) which has been around the norm since he’s been here, except Pochettino first season.
He has always been about a 30 odd games a season player for us.
