Agreed.

Really wish, as a collective, we'd stop being so short-sighted and overreacting to every selection. Its a busy period with lots of matches, everyone cannot play every match. If our squad was healthy and fit (Toby, Vic, Eriksen) then, gasp, each match a number of "senior" players who regularly feature would be in the stand each match.

I cant see anyone on the bench who could realistically take their place in their respective positions, other than Son... which is probably why. Bit of a lack of options there at the moment but lets hope that the blip in Eriksen's form is over and he gets back to his best tonight. Dele always has a goal in him as well

I did forget, sorry to say. I'm sure you're right but I don't recall what happened. Anyway, I'm not saying Wanyama is perfect or that he can't make a mistake, just that I think the team looks less nervous when he plays and is less likely to make mistakes that cost us.

I agree that of the two Alderwiereld is the bigger miss, I think we'll be much better once everyone is back fit - if that ever happens!

Direct benefits of Toby aside, i think Toby returning and Dier pushed forward would amount to the same thing you seek... i.e. That DM to allow those ahead of him to look fwd a bit more.
