Gossip: Zaha, Luiz, Hazard, Mkhitaryan, Coutinho, Ings, Van Dijk

And this would fcuk me off.

And again it's why if we have targets we have to act quickly or risk them going elsewhere.

Pace, trickery and an eye for goal are EVIDENTLY what we need and yet we ponce about.

Yes. I know the player allegedly signed a 100k a week contract (mindblowing in any language) but we needed to make a big enough bid before he committed.

Our model is clear. Buy just below the water line. Zaha has now cone to the surface and we are sunk.
they quoted £50m when they sold Bolasie for £30M this was before his uptick in performance and reliability and the market went mental - I think he is a proper player but at that price back then was too risky imho.

Nothing to worry about. Happens to every club.

For two or three years now, the votes for best player in the world, Ronaldo, has been cited as wanting to love from the biggest most successful club in the world.

If there are numerous rumours about the best player at the best club, what hope the rest?
Agree , The best players at the best clubs have nowhere to go, its an easy choice to stay . We have quality players that can move up a level which at the moment looks tempting for some.

Although Ben Arfa has had his issues in the past, there’s no denying his talent.

He’d certainly add something we need.

Reckon we can get a buy 2 get the 3rd player free?

Moura, Ben Arfa and Pastore/Draxler?

Apparently PSG are making a move for the Sanchez down the road. Who ends up on the bench/in the freezer over with the frenchmen to make room for him? PSG are obviously willing to do business with us so maybe we should keep our eyes on that situation.

EDIT: Pastore's agent has now come out and said that last night's game was possibly his last in the PSG shirt (despite the sporting director saying he is an important cog in the team). Honestly if we could work out wages I would not say no to Pastore tbh.

Apologies for all the PSG updates, but there are a lot of rumros around them needing to sell now to make FFP

Wingers/wide forwards aren’t likely under Pocchettino, yet are key to pretty much every successful Premier League team.

If he won’t understand that, then it’s time for a proper tactician.

He does get it we bought Nije and Nkouduo on the cheap (probably Levy deals) and they weren’t good enough. We wouldn’t have bought them if we didn’t want wingers nor would we have tried and failed to sign both Zaha and Sessegnon (who will be a winger).

Yes it’s painfully obviously we lack width and that makes it easy for teams to park the bus as we don’t stretch them wide so they just sit central. We can see it, Poch can see it, Martians can see it but buying a quality winger is hard and requires money. Son is the closest and he is something of a hybrid mercurial type so not quite the same.

It’s frustrating but this issue sits more at Joe Lewis and Levy’s door than Poch’s. If we had Zaha or Hazard Poch would play them no doubt, but we don’t have them. You only have to look at how Sterling and Sane provides devastating witdth for City that opens up bus parking teams to see what it can do.

Players I'd like to see us have a look at:
Thorgan Hazard (could be tricky if it is true that Chelsea has a buy back clause)
Barkley (keep putting pressure on Dele and Christian so they stay motivated)
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (multifunctional young English player that could probably evolve under Poch. Tricky bit would be getting him from Everton since they obviously see him as a future big thing for them).
