Rangers are back!

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Idk why Rangers hired Gerrard. His entire coaching career is like one year in charge of Liverpool's U17 team or something like that. Either he had a dynamite interview or they're just going for publicity.

Jamie Carragher reveals why he believes Gary Neville will succeed as Valencia manager | SportsJOE.ie
Who else should they have gone for? Things can't get much worse for Rangers. They have fuck all to lose. There's no reason why Gerrard can't succeed. He'll endure a cauldron of hatred in Glasgow, but apart from that he'll have the second best resources in the league and only be expected to compete and earn back some pride for the club. Not a tall order. I think it's a wise appointment.

Commercially there will be heightened interest in the old firm with Rodgers in Parkhead and Gerrard in Govan. And I fully expect Gerrard to attract some interesting young talent to Ibrox.

Who else should they have gone for? .

I don't know who they've tried and failed to get.

There are a fair few managers in the Championship who look to be good, and have a proven ability to improve teams in a very tough division

The guy at Fulham,
Derby (the ex Brum boss) Rowett
Wolves of course.

There are probably even guys in Div 1 who've got a good record.

The Englishman who manages in Sweden?

Did they guy at Killie turn them down?

Theyve gone for a guy who can answer "show us your medals" but can't "show us which teams youve managed to success or at least improvement". IMO they need they latter, not the former.

Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam.

And they’ll turn into a feeder club for Liverpool to blood their youth and reserve players.

The Aberdeen manager was the only person to turn the job down apparently, which he has done a few times.

Got into looking into the engineer of Juve’s stadium this evening, and somehow landed on follow follow which served up this absolute gem.

If two football clubs ever folded and I had the influence to cause it it would be adios Celtic, adios Rangers..
Both sets of fans seem to think they’d be title challengers if they joined the English league. Forgetting the fact that they’d have to persuade players to live in Glasgow. Also forgetting that their previous honours would be completely redundant in attracting players, barring Celtics European Cup I suppose
