2018 FIFA WORLD CUP RUSSIA 14th June - 15th July

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I really hope Modric & Co or Belgium (in the finals) beat this English side. Although I wish for the Spurs lads to do well, the English meltdown will be hilarious. I also fear this is the last chance for GOAT Dembélé, Toby and SuperJan and and not for the likes of Dele, Dier, Trippier and Kane. Many more chances will come for them I am certain. England is, after all, a superpower in international football. Just look at the mighty nations they have beaten in qualification and tournament.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming, football's coming home!

Jog on you sad piece of shit.

if Sterling would have been in a Man City shirt, he’d have passed it to Kane.
He looked up, at him and then decided not to pass, not to come inside and hit with his left, but turn into a tighter angle to get it on his right.

Kane has been very unselfish coming deep to allow the space.
Has he had one decent through ball to latch onto?
His shot last night came from Sterling losing control.

You could say the constant media sniping has got to Sterling. Feels he has to do something to shut them up.
Tries too hard, makes the wrong choice becuase of it.
He’s missed a few decent opportunities, but as long as he keeps getting them maybe he will do the right thing when it matters.

Judging by the responses here 52 years of hurt really have something to it, huh? God bless you.

The thing is , 95% of the posts “ it’s coming home “ etc is very tongue in cheek . No one expected much in this WC but England are in the semi final

Get yourself over to RAWK if you want to revel in slagging off England .

Who is your team by the way ( national team) . I presume that you’re a Spurs fan? Aren’t you happy for our boys ?

Belgium v England would be mad for the Spurs squad but there’s a long way to go yet

LOL, So the Manager of England who has guided this team, the most inexperienced and 2nd youngest side in the competition, to a semi-final of the World Cup is utterly shit then? I mean why oh why does he pick him? He knows absolutely fuck all about football, doesn't he? Why no derision towards him for selecting him?

(Completely unrelated, so feel free to skip over it has the potential to be boring, so apologies but I use this story to try to explain how a player can be effective in a team, because it is a TEAM GAME. I going to use an example from a Sunday League team I used to run with some mates.
We had a mate who was built like a brick shithouse, he was a PT instructor in the Royal Marines, he couldn't play football, he had never played it before in his life and at the age of 26 he played for the first time as our Centre Forward. I kid you not he couldn't kick a ball, you could put the ball on the penalty spot with no 'keeper and he will still miss, think of a 5yr old kicking a ball in your back garden, this was him.
But his instructions were simple, chase after the ball, get there before the defenders, don't let a defender touch the ball. He would run for 90mins, he battered and bullied the defence. We still had the problem that once he had beaten the defenders, he couldn't pass for shit. So we would send in 2 players behind him to pick up 2nd ball opportunities to counter-press. We won the League four years in a row, during which time he scored 1 goal (he played every single game), we were top goal scores (2nd season scored double the amount of goals to the team who was next best scorers).
Show me where I said that.
You are not the only person who understands the game you know.
Stirling is also on the pitch to score goals and at the moment he is useless at doing so, and is costing us goal opportunities by fluffing his and not giving up the ball to better placed players.
He can be magnificent at what the video says but doing it away from the goal doesn't help.
Kane did a better job of providing unselfish support and Sterling achieved very little of value.
Pointless story, as it doesn't explain Stirling's woeful strike rate
