It seems that my explanation of what was going on at SC, which was a reply to Dr Rocktopus Dr Rocktopus 's post, was taken as an endorsement of SC ITK. It wasn't meant to be. I think they a deluded bunch of clowns and tried to sign up recently to tell them so. Unfortunately, my proposed username probably alerted them to my intention (YouGottaBeKiddinMe) and my account wasn't approved. :sneaky:

I'm pretty convinced that most of this "HG is hindering us" stuff is complete made up bollocks, mainly because it hasn't been mentioned for a single other club in Europe as far as I can see. It's another pseudo-knowledgeable sounding excuse, like those that say "City and United have to do their business first" or cite changing Euro-Pound-Yen exchange rates.

Put it this way, if we were offered say Modric for €8 million and reasonable wages, a VDV style deal out of nowhere, do you seriously think we wouldn't find a way round this rule? And if we did knock it back based on this HG rubbish, would you not expect people near and far, the majority of our fans among them, to fall over laughing/combust in rage at how pathetic we had just been?

Maybe. Based on them wanting to save face ie "he played to the last minute while we could arrange what's best for the club".
IF it goes through I imagine we'll have to wait and see what story of a figure comes out that could appease both fan sets with. Joking. Kind of.

I've said that I can see why Grealish atthe right price would appeal but tbh if we're talking, which I'm said to say , is a rekatufely low difference of 3-5m I'd rather Cook based on his experience under the system hes played under a positive , young PM manager
