Match Unstoppable force (Watford) vs Immovable object (Spurs) Sunday 2 September

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just finished watching the game.

What an absolute crumble when Watford upped the ante.

Not good enough. How can you go and beat Man Utd at Old Trafford and then fucking fail to beat Watford away from home? I don't think we've ever lost to Watford in the Premier League. Well, there you go. Not only can Spurs go and smash Man Utd at Old Trafford, we can also end other teams hoodoos.

Honestly, play like that against Liverpool and we'll get destroyed. Luckily, we don't tend to lose 2 games in a row under Pochettino so I'm sure after the break he'll have them up for it.

> getting a curry takeaway as comfort food.
> the guy who runs it is a Liverpool fan and took the piss when I collected it.

1. Take Moussa's playing time.
2. Give it to Winks.
There, it was easy.
Bang on. To be honest, the timing of this game was particularly shit because we're seemingly not yet at the point where Winks is fit enough to start (and Dembele losing his legs too much for two games in a row).

Add to that Kane and Eriksen being off the boil and in-form opposition who were never going to give Lucas the space to play to his best game and it's easy to see how this afternoon happens.

Edit: to be positive, I don't see us being this shit again for the rest of the season. Kane and Eriksen will both come good (and probably stay that way until May), Son will either push Dele or offer a bench boost, and Winks & Lamela will both get fit to inject creativity.

Teams that win not just league titles but also trophies don't lose games like today.

Many will disagree but if we draw that after being ahead then no sweat. We fight amongst ourselves on why but you know it's not an L. It keeps runs going, builds invincibility and just generally talks of a club who have a bad day but find a way of preserving their point against a lesser light, whatever their form..

Watford were not that good but we were that poor. The game was there to be won and the league was there to be topped and we lost.

And it matters because once again and like key losses last season we lost after being ahead, which partly means Pochettino does not react quickly enough to the changing ebb of a game.

Dismisss it if you wish but until we lose that aspect of our mentality it will stop us winning anything.

Short memories. Davies was great last season.
He was solid, but surely you can't disagree with how much more formidable we would look with a rapid wing back instead of him? The amount of times in a game theres a great ball played to him into space down the left and he cuts inside to traffic is criminal. His crossing is also so hit and miss, the number of times he gets the ball in a good position and just puts his head down and slams it into the opposition first man makes me want to tear my hair out.
Overall its a position we should and could easily upgrade on.

This is Levy's fault. No competition for places, no players on the bench to change the game. Title challengers? You're having a laugh I'm afraid.
Absolutely this. The only major club in Europe arrogant enough to go through a transfer window thinking we don't need to improve.
If the club shows zero ambition, can we really be surprised when that mentality rubs off on the team.
You reap what you sow.

Oh look. The transfer window patrol are out again.

Funny that the transfer window wasn't blamed when we smashed Man Utd at Old Trafford.
