No he didn't, unless one of them is clearly wrong, probably Squawka as they were the one's that went bust for being shit.
Ben Davies - History
Kieran Trippier - History
But you are just proving the point I made, your shit hot attacking force of an FB ain't all that shit hot when compared to Ben Davies who is ironically regarded as highly conservative player (I think you made have alluded to this yourself). And that's the problem with stats without context to performance. That's the problem having being so focused on assist stats they fail to see the impact of a player has on the balance of a team. Stats in isolation fail to take into account similar players, with similar numbers. (This applies also to teams, e.g. people banging on about Spurs away record to the big 6, without cross referencing it with the other away records of the other big 6. In politics it's the same, in isolation and without context or comparison you can't paint any lie you want).
Ben Davies is statistically a better attacking player than Trippier. Whether he is or isn't can be debated, but iyou are the one providing assist stats and creative passes to prove a point, but now you've been presented with stats that move otherwise. What's it to be?
What?
Ive literally provided you with stats that prove Trippier is statistically a better attacking player. Maybe you confused the two players. He also makes 25% more passes per game (58 to 45 per game), and completes 81% of those to Davies 80%. Makes more take ons and more forward passes. He also makes more interceptions and 40% more tackles per game.
Fuck stats, anyone who can't tell Trippier's a more useful player than Davies needs give the opinion business a swerve.
I thinkvDavies had a really good first three/four months but seemed to regress to a very unadventurous meh. I wouldn't mind him being statistically less productive or contributive than Trippier, but I don't even think Davies is a brilliant defender.
Which is why I also said that after midfield, left back is our biggest issue.
