bus-conductor bus-conductor You might not be aware, but there is a thread for stats based stuff. It was created to stop other threads getting bogged down in this kind of ‘you’re wrong, no you’re wrong’ rubbish. I’m not telling you or Guido what to do, but please consider where you choose to post. Thanks.

Tottenham Hotstats
Sorry All.

I'm sure we've all been here when every time you post it get's replied to and requires a further response. Just when you think you've proved a point and shut down something, you get another reply and so it goes on and on and on......

Mate, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT STATS, however you clearly do, you have not stopped talking about them and using them to claim Trippier as a God of a fullback. I played you at your own game and provided you with stats (from whoscored) that show that Davies is statistically the more attacking player last year, but you ignore them. That's just bizarre but understandable because stats are wank when used out of context, as I have proved by throwing in the Davies comparison. You see you can manipulate them to set an agenda for the positive or negative.

You don’t seem to understand how stats work. You didn’t provide stats that showed Davies is more attacking, you provided season total numbers, which are utterly meaningless on their own because Davies played about 500 minutes more than Trippier.

If you want to compare the stats, providing both have a decent sample size, which they do, then you look at the stats divided by minutes on the pitch for each player.

When you do that you get the stats a posted above, in all of which Trippier outperforms Davies.

I don’t think Trippier’s a god, far from it, I look forward to the day KWP gets a proper chance because I think he’s got potential to be better than all of our current and recent rb’s, I just think Trippier’s a very decent one, who’s the best in this league offensively, but who for some reason doesn’t seem to get the credit he deserves and even gets a lot of stick he doesn’t.

I think Trippier knows how good he is he has watched his WC goal a hundred times!

Please mate take it to the stats thread.

I will, as long as you take yours to the shit stats thread.

And the £8,500,000.00 new improved salary
:pochlol:
But, but, but "we don't pay anyone enough". "They are all going to leave because we are tight bastards". "just pay up you bald bastard".

Others see that we do actually pay our players, have told you all the fucking time that this is the case but still you bang on and on about players leaving, about mangers leaving.

Funny watching how you now go about your business now the penny is slowly dropping, only taken 4yrs to notice.

No. I was simply pointing out that you mistakenly overlooked his £3million p/a pay rise off your list below

But, but, but the power struggle, the head-to-head meetings, the showdown talks, the ultimatums.

I'm sure you didn't overlook it deliberately.
Or do you genuinely think it played no part in him signing a new deal??

The showdown talks, which you bizarrely refuse to acknowledge despite them being widely reported accross the whole of the written press, clearly paid off for Poch's bank balance.
Good for him, too. I certainly ain't knocking it.

Surely you should be pleased that we’re paying the big bucks for a top managerial talent? I can’t quite work out your agenda here, but I know there is one.
Yes of course I'm pleased. You know I'm one of Poch's biggest supporters.
But I think it's naive to suggest that a) the salary increase didn't play a part in him agreeing a new deal and b) there were no showdown talks after Poch's end of season comments suggesting he may or may not be here this season.
That's not having an agenda. I haven't criticised Levy or Poch here

Lol there were no showdown talks fella, behave yourself now. The two are tight, have a close working relationship and literally EVERYTHING supports this as such. Your predictions of what was to unfold have never materialised, whereas mine have. I'm not a mind reader, I just don't let a bias blind me.

Well of fucking course paying him more money helps, I've been arguing that point with you for years. He just like our players are getting some decent competitive wedge. That is why they are all still here at Tottenham. You have been crying yourself to sleep for years about players leaving because we don't pay them enough.

It's all getting a bit confusing for you now, what are you going to fake protest about now?
