I don't know about the previous debates you've been having with others, but I consider myself a realist.
If we don't win things, I would very much expect our best players to want to leave, it is up to them to win things and in ideal world they would knuckle down and do just that, but in modern football it's not likely.
Its not about a poor performance. As for you're either with or against him, I disagree that you can't criticize Poch or a policy without being against him. There is no one who is above criticism, if a player doesn't perform and he gets criticized it doesn't automatically mean that people don't support him any more.
Maybe. But having 8 and a half million juicy ones dangled in front of you is certainly gonna put a smile back on your face.
I think everyone could see he was definitely showing signs of frustration towards the end of last season though
Go fuck yourself ya negative twat, always on a downer about the club you purport to love. Know our place and don't dare to dream of better things. The only thing i'd like to feed you is your own fucking teeth, one by one. What a fucking sanctimonious, self opionated boring cunt you are.
has it ever crossed your mind that the "showdown talks" were pochettino, his lawyer, and levy finalising terms on his contract, and the whole of the written press got it wrong (not for the first time this summer here we are concerned)No. I was simply pointing out that you mistakenly overlooked his £3million p/a pay rise off your list below
I'm sure you didn't overlook it deliberately.
Or do you genuinely think it played no part in him signing a new deal??
The showdown talks, which you bizarrely refuse to acknowledge despite them being widely reported accross the whole of the written press, clearly paid off for Poch's bank balance.
Good for him, too. I certainly ain't knocking it.
Isnt the same Guillem Balague that he wrote his book with, and is a close friend with (wasnt Pochettino quoted as saying he only wrote the book cos it was with Balague, tho i aint claiming thats gospel and cant be fucked to find out if it is true)It’s Guillem Balague who is almost always wrong but hey it’s a feel good narrative so now must be true. It’s always amusing how those who cry agenda when something negative is said within the media but then take it as gospel when it’s something agreeable.
no ones forcing him. he signed a big fat extension to stay doing the sameHe may find the prospect of having a transfer budget to work with quite attractive. Especially if he goes another year or two without a major trophy on his CV while being forced to work on a shoestring with us.
No, it hasn't. And as much as any negative press tends to get ridiculed and brushed aside, I tend to give it more credence than than the musings of a few posters on herehas it ever crossed your mind that the "showdown talks" were pochettino, his lawyer, and levy finalising terms on his contract, and the whole of the written press got it wrong (not for the first time this summer here we are concerned)

I agree. And I think given what he's achieved with no financial backing, i.e 3 consecutive seasons of CL , he fully deserves his pay rise.no ones forcing him. he signed a big fat extension to stay doing the same
What a ridiculous statement. So if it's negative, or not what you want to believe. it must be bullshit, right? . But If it suits your agenda, we must lap it up greedily. Why are you so keen to give the negative press credence? Why oh why would a supporter of the club do that?
Don’t answer - I know.
He was always going to leave Southampton as soon as Cortese went. He is on record saying it was a matter of principle and loyalty to Cortese & how Saints has dealt with that situation....
What a ridiculous statement. So if it's negative, or against your feelings, it must be bullshit, right?
More credence than the thoughts of a few random forum posters like you, yes.No, you said you tend to give negative press ‘more credence’ your words - not mine. Every negative post on here you agree with. People can read John.

You seem to have a massive chip on your shoulder Joe. You seem determined to belittle and shoot down anyone who dares question anything about club policy. It's not just me, theres a lot of people on here who fall foul to your PC agenda.
Love him or hate him Mourinho's record probably gives him the right to earn that kind of salary. I doubt they would offer Poch that much. You seem to think Spurs can offer more than Real Madrid or Utd can. You do realise that Jose is on 15M a year dont you......I doubt he stayed because he couldnt earn better elsewhere

In fact I'd hazard a guess that Poch is the highest paid manager in the world not to have ever won anything. Though feel free to prove me wrong.
