Match Crystal Palace v Tottenham Hotspur - Premier League - 10.11.18

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I imagine Dele is probably proud to represent his country and therefore Poch wouldn't put a stop to that. I don't think the FA cares for any club, let alone Spurs.

Again, I couldn't care less if he plays for England or not and I won't cry if he doesn't play tonight. We've beaten better teams and played good football without Dele Alli and I imagine it'd be the same tonight. Though I'd prefer he did play as we are a better team with him.

He's clearly been struggling with a hamstring injury for the last 5 months.
He should be proud to represent his country. But not at the risk of his health/fitness/ability to do his “day job”. And having struggled with his hamstring, There should be no question. Club before country.

Doubt it. Players know it’s club before country. That’s why they retire from international duty to prolong club careers. Club is what puts the bling on their fingers, round their necks & parked on their coiffured gated driveways.

Clubs change though. I'm sure he's grateful that we're paying him a shit load of money for kicking a football around and running around abit but he's already stated playing for his country is the best thing in his career.

No one knows. No one knows why Poch would rest Dele for this knowing England would play him. Maybe they had a word and Dele said he'd rather be fit for his country and didn't want to potentially get injured before the Nations League game. Who knows? Quite frankly, who cares?

Trying to play through it during the WC wasn't wise.

Another reason why I was so pissed at the shit thrown at our boys when they came home.... In HK, KT & DE we had three players that gave their all at the expense of their upcoming season... Yet along with Raheem 'Son of Satan' Sterling they took the flack so the rest of the collective could enjoy a relatively heroic reception.... (i.e. the average-ness of other seniors such as Young, Walker, Henderson, Fabian 'Just popping home' Delph and so on...)

Yeah - probably wasn't Southgates call either. Dele is extremely proud to put on the England shirt. Him playing injured at the World Cup proves .

Did our players get that much flack? Kane got a bit for not actually scoring a goal from open play, but as Golden Boot winner, a lot of people I know were happy with his performances overall (Colombia game is probably one of the best performances from any England striker). Trippier came back heralded as the best right back in the world. Dier didn't even get a game yet was still known as the match winning penalty scorer.

Harry the villain was a thing (i.e. that bullshit witch hunt over not passing to Sterling even thought he pass wasn't on)... (Another case of fans buying into bad analysis; In this case courtesy of cuddly cunt, "Good Ol' Wrighty"!)

As was "Spurs lost us the world cup"

Granted Tripper got his props, but IMO, (although I didn't cite him myself) if Dier would have played more, he too would have been scapegoated for lacking creativity or whatever (whilst Hendo conversely would be commended for his captain's spirit).

My over-arching point though is that our boys made major contributors/sacrifices, yet were subjected to a caveat that allowed the rest to shoulder all the demi-glory, un-tained...

In terms of media (and in turn fan) perception/portrayal; We won as a team, yet lost as individuals... Fuck that IMO!

Think we need to use our subs today. Dier/Wanyama, Eriksen/Dele. Therefore unless we are unlucky with an injury we will get 180 mins out of those 4. We have been fortunate to get late goals to win this fixture recently. Cannot see that continuing. Either we need to get an early lead and keep it or it will be a draw. Not had a league draw yet and one bound to come along soon.

I think we will play well today.

Not sure why and just a hunch.

If we win it will be by 2 goals at least.

if we win, it'll be 27 points from a possible 36. most years, you'd have thought that would be enough to top the table. there's the two £2B clubs and £1/4B in 12 months above us. we spent £0.
