Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Simple fact is that there aren’t many players that would walk into our first team and make us better that we can first afford, or secondly wouldn’t rather go straight to a team that has won shit loads.

All of our signings are gambles.

Just that people pick and choose who is “must” and who is shit by looking at some sqwaka graph, and then think that’s enough evidence to slate the chairman and scouting team.

All the while forgetting that Poch is the manager and any players signed he has agreed to.
Your saying that there are not too many players available that we can afford who would walk into our team but then suggest ndombele is not too expensive for us and yet the price touted about is 72m which levy will never pay.
So poch can want the players he wants but if it's someone like that he is going to get told fuck off by the bald one, and so it's back to square one with "cheap gambles" which for a team pushing hard for a CL position and mildly flirting with the title is not good enough.

Yes or no, did you say Serie B club Palermo player Ivalyo Chochev was a better option for Spurs than Luka Modric?
I said I rather take a punt on a young player (much like we've done to date under Poch) and listed some options. I still believe that will be the case with our new CM. There is a reason we tried with Grealish

My offer still stands - 20 quid to Case Milner never signs. You can't be a coward your whole life? Back it up, son

SchmoodSpur SchmoodSpur - let's say we sign Milner - where does he play?

Bench Sissoko or Winks?

I'm surprised that a 33 year old James Milner, approaching the twilight of his career, would even be considered by Spurs if he's deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield. This is the team that, as Sammy keeps reminding us, perennialy finish below us.
Surely a move to someone like West Ham or Bournmouth is his next logical move.

Have we really been reduced to this

I haven’t suggested NDombele is in our price range. I’m questioning why people demand we spend big to compete with Liverpool and City, and then start counting the pennies and saying we should sign cheaper alternatives when that’s exactly what they have berated Levy for.

Redknapp would have snapped him up - but not Poch, not a chance. Goes to show how little ambition some fans truly possess

As I said, it's a recommendation. Not an expectation. Who bets on something they think is unlikely to happen? Hahaha.

Oh, so you didn't say Chochev was a better option than Modric? Let's go back shall we...

Modric is finished at the top level

LMFAO LOL PWNED

I watch La Liga regularly - none of what you’ve said makes any sense. He’s having a poor season - fact,

Funny fact. Turned out to be his best season ever.

Modric’s best years are behind him - to claim otherwise is laughable.

Laughable he says.

Ballon d'Or: Luka Modric ends dominance of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

You've just told me to ''stop lying'' about the fact you said Chochev was a better option than Modric...

Well...

What better options are there than Modric, if he became available?

There are so many other options better

Now, you say there are so many other options better than Luka Modric for CM?

Name them.

Who's the liar?

Milner is a superb footballer because he is dependable and has brought his maturity, experience and professionalism to that Liverpool side. It is absolutely clear to anyone who is not myopic.

Let me say this on the matter and by comparison because it is not about us getting him now or even it being an option.

Had Lloris or even a slightly younger Dembele shown that same level of leading by example we might (just might) have won a Cup in the last 3 or so years.

We don't need a 33 year old because it probably represents twilight years but it depends very much on the 33 year old in question and what they might offer. Milner for example and just theorising would add something and it is less where he would play as opposed to his presence and what it might add.
