Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

At 47 years of age and decade of club management is there much more scope for improvement? Managers like players have their shelf life - we've even seen that with Mourhino.

As for Klopp any manager that gets a side containing Karius, Robertson, Henderson and Milner to name a few to CL final is a top level coach. There is strong possibility that they will win the league this season and I firmly believe we have a better team and squad than theirs.
I believe there is scope for improvement, if you don't fair enough. I happen to think Klopps a good manager but what excuse is there to lose 6 out of 7 finals and would you extend that sort of leniency to our manager.

Well you know my rationale they have had a far inferior team to us up until recently. The difference with Klopp has well is that he has 2 league champions to his name - that shows he can do this, Pochettinho hasn't.

Why doesn't he watch the video's of the Burkinshaw era which are in colour and show us winning those trophies which he thinks we have greater priorities over.

Operating with the 6th largest base revenue determines the priorities. Unless I am very much mistaken Herr Klopp's Liverpool also crash out of the domestic cups early on. They longer carry the same prestige nor a fraction of the revenue of EPL placing and ECL participation.

And still finish below a team containing Davies, trippier, sissoko and wanyama to name but a few.

All I've seen you do in the two weeks I've been here is have seemingly endless debates about how shit you think our football club is, you rarely say a positive word which you're entitled to do but to expand this much energy on something you seemingly dislike so much is odd.

I can't work it out why you're so negative. We have a manager who finally , finally has us challenging at the top of the league, I'm 40 and I've dreamed of this , even when Venables was here we never got close, I think the third place was a last minute thing , long time ago though. I've sat through having gooner cunts like Graham and shwrwood,. I've seen clowns like gross and Francis, had to watch Harry Redknapp use our more talented team in 40 years as a platform for him to get attention and the England job, hell even jol who lost loved was limited , avb was a mercenary and played a football that was about as exciting as one of your billion arguments about how shit we are and now NOW we have a manager who oozes class, fuck his just said he watches bill Nic videos every week, he rarely let's his emotions rule his behaviour and he is using a bonafide spurs legend as a mentor /confidont , we have been top four regulars under him, .fuck you surely remember when top four was a distant dream the scum got each year and yet still all you wanna do is argue over and over and over again about how his not good enough.

We aren't spending money, we have a stadium to pay for and yet were still competing against clubs who are so I'm not sure what you want, this is as good as it gets with this current budget.

But that's not the point. Critisism is fine , I get that. We all get frustrated from time to time and as much as I love Poch he isn't perfect nobody is but the good far far far outweighs the bad and not only are you pretty much the only one who won't acknowledge it but you take your point of view go on and on and on and on about it to the point where it's not debate but trolling as you are of course winding supporters up who acknowledge the best manager in most of our lifetimes

Well considering that we will have the 6th largest revenue post stadium what will our priorities be then?

If Klopp did what he does to the domestic cups here I would criticise him the same as I do with Poch - neither club can be selective given their trophy droughts.

Some of the shit in this thread is laughable.

I question the logic and thinking of the manager sometimes, especially with substitutions and perhaps blind loyalty to certain players but he’s the best we’ve had in my time as a Spurs fan.

Who on earth can we get, for the long term, that can do better? Sure, the talented bunch we have should be winning trophies but there are only FOUR competitions in total, one is incredibly unlikely to be won (CL), the PL is essentially bought these days (bar Leicester) and the cups are a lottery - only two of those.

Get behind the team and the manager for fuck sake. And try to enjoy what’s just a hobby. Absolute melty pricks. Nothing that happens in this football club is more important than reality. And some of you need a fucking reality check.

Same, the domestic cups have lost the lustre and commercial value.

Make what you will of our CL/EPL chances, but why the fuck is the FA Cup doomed as of this morning?

Re Sarri: He is/was, but media Kool Aid portrays otherwise... Trust YOUR taste-buds; that shit is rank.

Point with Sarri was him and Poch were equally matched for that game so it doesn't reflect well on Poch regardless of injuries and complaints about the stadium in the press today.

The FA Cup isn't doomed, but I am saying there isn't a real chance of winning it yet. This is because, there isn't a genuine 50/50 chance of reaching a final, and even then we struggle. There was a real chance in the Carabao Cup, and an objective ~33% chance of winning the entire thing before we played that Chelsea game, which is reasonable in anyone's book.

However, the reason for skepticism on the whole is that if we can't beat Wolves at home depleted and going for the league, and we can't grind a 0-0 depleted and going for the league cup, then our previous best in the Champions League and FA Cup to this date doesn't look like it will be surpassed at all.

Palace is a tough game tomorrow, even harder than Chelsea. Credit to Poch if he navigates past it. I would rather we won the FA Cup than the Carabao Cup if I had to choose overall at the start of a season, but it is a long way off and our players are dropping like flies.

Yes, miracles happen. It would be perfect for the injured players to come back just in time to secure third and win a trophy at the end of the season. As a whole, I feel the squad and manager deserve it. I just feel it is long odds for the stars to align now, and I am now less inclined to blindly believe in it happening just because the manager does sometimes, then blames the stadium other times. 4-5 seasons under Poch it hasn't happened yet.

Belief is a massive element, and so is getting your tactics right vs. Nuno, vs. Ole, and vs. Sarri.
