Yes Sean it was at Brighton in an Intertoto game v Lucerne. I went to that one for the novelty value as it was an odd place to play a home game.We were gagging for a pint but nowhere was open so we went to the local Indian and ordered 3 samosas and 15 pints (something like that). They weren't allowed to open the terracing due to EUFA rules so we nearly got locked out ffs. Shit game and we lost 0-2. Some of the chaps went out to Cologne where we lost 8-0 which is still our record defeat.

Ah, the European glory of the Intertoto Cup... and to think, we're moaning about 'only' aiming for Champions League qualification each year....

The Intertoto started about 5 days before the previous season finished if I remember rightly!

I'd prefer a stronger team myself, and Son won't make the bench as he won't be back in time. He's expected to be back mid week.
 
Watford make 11 changes and win at Newcastle. We could not make 11 changes as we do not have 22 fit players in our squad but now know their first 11 will have had 11 days rest when we play them Wednesday, beaten us once already this season and are 7th. They look safe from relegation but could get Europa by either winning F A Cup or finishing 7th and F A Cup being won by top 6 team. They seem to be prioritising 7th.
How will this fact affect Poch's team selection with players needing rest but not wishing to exit 2 Cups within days??

And yet the 'mighty' Watford won't get castigated for fielding a weakened team, and not taking the Cup seriously...

Imagine if we made ELEVEN changes?
 
Don't worry guys, I had my nails done today (navy blue), and the last time I had them done was before the Barca game, and we got the result we wanted that night :coys:
 
So what minute do you reckon people start moaning about our "lack of threat" in this one?

Despite us scoring more goals in our last 2 games without Kane and Son than we did in the two previous games we had WITH them..
 
Doubt it'd happen but for once I'd like to see us go two up top so Sterling or even Parrot can get a chance. It's been a while since an academy player has actually become a first team player in the proper sense (Walker-Peters gets cup games but he's not broken in properly).

Stick Sonny on the bench in case we need him for the final 10-15 minutes. Personally I see absolutely no reason why he can't make an appearance on the bench if we were able to get him back to London sharpish after Friday

There does seem to be a bit of noise about Parrot going into this game.... (Poch name checked him in his press conference on Friday)
Wouldn't surprise me at all if he started alongside Llorente...
