Thank God I'm avoiding twitter today. Ergo is usually a great poster.

I follow Ergo on twitter, and he's having a 'mare this evening (couple of drinks down the hatch perhaps?)
He seems to be interpreting the game/lineup as if Poch's hand wasn't forced by our injury crisis. Will regret some of these tweets in the morning.
I don't even disagree with the cold logic of saying top 4 is the priority, etc, but it just doesn't feel like the time to say it.If anyone believes no other manager could have won a domestic cup and finished top 4 with this squad by now they are deluded.
I want Poch here for 20 years, because it will all fall into place. But his comments went too far today, and basically show why we’ve whimped out with bizarre teams down the years
Oh dear...
Let’s get Jose in, will win Mickey and FA Cup all whilst playing anti football and pissing our best players off in the process.
Funnily enough, Ergo is the one I kept following but gave up on BankruptSpurs and CookPassTim a while ago - became too grating for me.How many fans cannot see Poch couldn’t risk taking this game more seriously with some PL matches which are far more important coming up. We just don’t have enough of a fit squad at the moment.
I normally like Ergo, but he does have some interesting contrarian thoughts at times.

Oh God, I forgot about TehTrunk. Binned him around the same time too. Self-righteous in the extreme.Funny you should mention that what has happened to Bankrupt? Used to be one of the best now he’s gone almost full Brexit.
Is CookPassTim still posting doesn’t seem to be a frequent as he used to be? Even Trunk has become it a bit of a bore.
Bearing in mind would any other manager have this squad at their disposal? It’s one that Poch has built and it’s a massive assumption to think whether some of these players would be playing for Tottenham if Pochettino wasn’t in charge. Remember Timmy not rating Vertonghen. So yes we might have another Ramos/Mourinho/AVB in charge who might win us a League Cup or FA Cup but I bet it is no guarantee of us doing well in the league.
Today’s result was shite, but considering our lack of fit starters Poch had no choice to make massive changes. Palace also are no push overs and to write them off at home is showing a lack of respect.
Sorry I thought Poch hadn’t been backed....
Just hypothetically, this squad with another manager. I don’t think it’s pure fantasy to think we couldn’t have won a domestic cup.
I think we could well have, and if that makes people uncomfortable it’s probably because they think so too
FA Cup prize money £6.6m. Last 16 CL money £70m it's a no brainer Sammy. If anyone believes no other manager could have won a domestic cup and finished top 4 with this squad by now they are deluded.

Lost League Cup final to the Champions of England (who had a full weeks prep and rest whilst we were in Italy 72hrs before). Lost FA Cup semi to Champions of England (whilst training for the game a member of our family drops down dead on a neighbouring pitch 2 days before the game). Lost FA Cup semi to one of only two teams to have finished above us, I think we should have beaten this team, outside of the first 20mins we didn't play well. The thing is that I don’t know if anyone could build the team like Poch did. He build the team and developed a lot of players, that is 5 out of 5 stars of work. But we should be winning trophies in the last 3 seasons. Unbelievable how we couldn’t win a fa cup or league cup in the process. I love him but I don’t know if he can takes us to next level. Next season will be very telling.

It's been a long time since I read BankruptSpurs, but wasn't there a lot of anti-Brexit melting from him?

Any halfwits who still don't quite grasp it, please read a few of Hogdsons comments. As he said, if a trophy makes you a success as a manager and only a trophy, around 98% of football managers are shit.
Wake up a little bit regarding Pochettino & ENIC, as a unit they've done what no other club in country that wasn't already a big player or had money pumped into them has been able to do
Oh look - the paid ENIC not has even found a way to praise the manager after this result and subsequent appalling comments. Any why can’t we win the FA Cup and make the CL R16 at the same time? Or even the Carabao?FA Cup prize money £6.6m. Last 16 CL money £70m it's a no brainer Sammy.
If this sum was offered to you in two separate envelops you ain't picking the one marked £6.6m. The battle for clubs fighting to stay in the PL or for those in the Championship looking to get promoted the jeopardy is the same, PL is worth £200m per year in a cheque form TV. Those in the championship will prioritise that over the Cup. Teams fighting relegation (from 10th down) will prioritise the PL over the cup.
I love the FA Cup, but it's dead, it will remain a dead cup until or if the prize money is worth +£50m. All I've seen this weekend from all the games shown on TV have been held in half-empty stadiums (this included the Woolwich/Utd game) their is a reason for this, it's dead, unfortunately.
Poch is brave with his standpoint, it opens himself up to ridicule and those managers up and down the league that lie to their fans (they hold the same priorities) absolutely love his stance as it takes the heat of them. I fully get the backlash from it, so many love the Cup but it's dead, everything around it reflects this. I can't fault Poch talking with honesty about it, whilst other managers bottle it.
