Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Well, I was in the front row of block 516 and didn't notice any safety screens. Where are they, and more importantly - why only in some places? I was with my 9yr old and sitting at the front without a screen felt entirely safe.
They seem to be at the bottom of the stairs, in case some poor fucker trips...instead of falling over the edge they can have multiple lacerations instead...

Ends of rows, in case someone comes tumbling down the stairs I suppose. At Wembley they are metal frames.

The guy in the photo looks like he'll spend most of the match peering through one.

There will also be a museum dedicated both to the club and the local area and an extreme sports centre featuring Europe’s highest climbing wall and a seven-storey diving tank. According to the club, the entire development will create 3,500 jobs and pump £293m (US$360.5m, €338.2m) into the local economy each year.

We must think we have a chance of signing Mo Salah

It was in reference to Wembley.

I asked before on here if we got a share of the advertising/catering etc from Wembley and nobody seemed to know.
Treat with a pinch of salt, but I recall a post that stated that we didn't get any share in the concessions at Wembley. As for the advertising we took our partners that we had at WHL to Wembley (no idea if we charged them more for the privilege of being at Wembley, I doubt it) and the Wembley partners e.g EE are nothing to do with Spurs so no revenue would have been forthcoming from those.

Again, treat with a pinch of salt but our 2nd-year rent was also said to be increased on a per game basis as we were expected to leave (unlike the first season which was confirmed booking for a full season).

What we obviously don't have to pay for any longer is the rental for Wembley which was reported to be £15m for the first season.

So I've had some time to reflect and compose my thoughts into The Good, The Bad and The Ugly:

The Good:
- Subjective, but I think the stadium looks great from the outside
- The Spurs crest lit up at night looks stunning
- The concourses, whether they are Corporate levels or General Admission, are just brilliant - wide, open, well lit, loads of Spurs feeling. Superb
- The food and beverage is top notch. I've yet to eat in the GA areas, but the Corporate areas have really excellent food, the best I've had in any stadium in the world
- You're so close to the pitch! Our seats are almost half way back in the upper tier, yet we've got an excellent view of the pitch.
- It feels like WHL reinvente
- They have nailed the acoustics. When the songs got going yesterday it was loud, really loud! You can hear the acoustics working and reverbing the noise, rather than killing it off
- The staff, oh my gosh, the staff are so excited and enthusiastic about the stadium
- The view from the Stratus lounge as you enter takes your breath away, it's stunning
- The concourses feel well thought out, with a wide variety of bars and food outlets
- The post game entertainment is excellent
- The floodlights are really cool, it's great to see them slowly coming to life during a game
- The sound system is awesome, you feel like they could deafen 62,000 people if they cranked it to 11
- The upgrade restaurants are brilliant

The Bad:
- The Market Place is extremely crowded, constant announcements were being made asking people not go to there
- I am sure that several non-Stratus members gained access to the Stratus lounge. In particular, there was a group of 10-15 lads at the bar after half time, who were not present before the game, at half time or in the Stratus allocated seating. They were extremely drunk and were causing a nuisance. I'd estimate that maybe 1/3 of the people in the Stratus lounge post game did not have tickets there
- The tills in the Stratus lounges, and maybe elsewhere, failed mid-game, meaning post match everything had to be comped
- The lifts are a mess, twice we were in a lift that broke down, they're slow, the doors shut with all of the speed of Nayim on the pitch, the panels flex like wet pasta and the buttons work only 50% of the time. This really needs sorting
- The lifts are also being used by GA ticket holders, meaning some quite severe queues were growing
- For the second event running, several bars ran out of alcohol
- This will impact a small number of people...but the music in the Stratus lounge was too loud and just not fit for purpose. I'm 35, love music of all genres, but don't really like garage music blasted out of speakers when I'm trying to speak to people before a game. The demographic of the lounge (mainly 30's/40's/50/s and with family) didn't really fit the music
- Again, first world problem and everything, but you cannot get a tea or coffee in the Stratus lounges. They didn't think it necessary to fit the machines, just baffling!
- Someone else mentioned this, but the North West stand screen is horribly boxy, I don't quite know how to explain it, but it's like you can see the outline of every single LCD panel that was installed
- There is a significant issue with tickets not scanning, maybe 1 in 2 tickets were not scanning in the East stand yesterday

The Ugly
- The external glass on the East stand is filthy, absolutely disgusting
- There is a lot of snagging to be completed, which is totally to be expected, a few areas I saw were recessed lights being too recessed (looks like they've been suck back into the ceiling!), a number of power/USB sockets had been pulled out of the walls, some areas in the Premium seat areas still required interior plastering and finishing, several hand driers failed

Some Tasty Inside Info:
- The SkyBridge is no longer going to be an upgrade experience for Stratus members, it will be given to the Stadium Sponsor and they will do with it as they please
- The club were caught unaware as to the popularity of the food and beverage, so much so that the first 6,000 "event" in the south stand sold more food and booze than they expected from a sell out premier league game
- The club are currently running at over triple the concession sales they had forecast (as of the first test event), they will make changes to how the bars are shut in future, i.e. keeping the north stand bars open for longer
- There will be an entertainment zone in the west stand, to try and stop everyone on the west stand moving down to the market place

My overall thoughts? WOW! It's a wonderful stadium and is more than I could have ever hoped for. My mood was somewhat soured yesterday by a poor Stratus lounge experience (anyone could and did wander in, ran out of Amstel, really loud music, no teas/coffees). But these are all teething problems, the bricks and mortar are brilliant, everything else can be tweaked! "

So a few riff-raff invaded the upper echelons of society...who fucking was it?
Each to their own but what a fucking ironic snob. Moaning about people invading his elitist area whilst he was doing exactly the same thing on the GA concourse (Market Place). Would love to see a post of those in the Market Place winging about the corporate invading the South Stand and by the looks of his photo's he went all over the place in other areas too. Couldn't make it up.

Never in my life have I been at a football match and thought "You know what I could really do with right now? A nice cup of tea."

Christ's sake - enjoy your bloody champagne and stop moaning about trivial things. (Not directed at you Arty, I know you're just forwarding the information)

Fair play!!

Online or ticket office?

Yeah, interesting. Assume they'll be going soon, but making way for what exactly? Does the road need widening in that section or something?

I posted the planning application for the demolition of the houses a couple of months ago. Online Planning Services: Application Search

Spurs will be building a community health centre and the site of the houses will become parking for the medical centre and also allow parking for some coaches on match days . I guess that the demolition will happen in the summer now.
