Whether this means Pochettino will just try and bank on keeping things tight tonight, even a 0-0 draw tonight might not be such a bad result. Ajax drew with both Real and Juventus at home before winning the away legs so with Son back next week maybe that will affect the approach tonight.

Ajax are a young, talented team with a few old heads guiding them - Tadic is having an amazing season - who seem to playing without any fear, although another factor could be that now it might just actually hit them where they are and feel the weight of a little expectation on their shoulders.

If he was available, I wonder how many people would be thinking it was in some ways it would be almost inevitable that Janssen would come in from the wilderness and play a role in this tie in the absence of some of the big hitters.

This lot didn't even qualify for the Europa League last season. Lost over two legs in a play off to Rosenborg. No nerves guys, win the psychological battle (I'm talking to the 60,000 in the stands right now, not the players).

As for their form in the Eredivise over the past few seasons, they haven't won it with this nucleus yet. Keep losing out to Feyenoord & PSV.

Front foot, plenty of bottle, heart in abundance and don't get sucked into the bias against us.

So this is what purgatory feels like.
Still hoping for a ticket having got the nod to finish work early.

Do I start boozing now and sack off getting a ticket, or forget the booze, jump in the car, get to the ground and see if I can bag a ticket?
