Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Despite it being well established by now that Poch chose not to sign anyone, what has Levy got to "do the right thing"?

This summer and arguably once the whistle blows on Sunday, it's get the transfer list from Pochettino and get on with it.

And for once, not put stupid valuations on our fringe players and also not squeeze every drop from prospective sellers.

Our squad needs reinvigorating despite an astounding night yesterday.

Not fully Spurs related but transfer related.

Raiola has been suspended from being an agent for the entire summer window apparently. Italian FA stepped in. So you know something fishy is going on if the Italian FA had to step in.

De Ligt seemingly going nowhere then unless he switches agents post haste.

Hasn't De Ligt got 2 agents? Some other guy and then Raiola joined the party too?

Just read that too. But from the way it was phrased, it seemed to only apply in Italy. So not sure if it's just a 'symbolic' gesture rather than an actual sanction.

So on Monday you expect Levy to be selling players like Wanyama who we might want to be part of the CL Final squad on 1 June...…...and buying players which might signal an exit from Spurs of other players such as Alderweireld who we might want to start in the final ?

Great motivation.

Glad you are not in charge of transfers.

The period from Monday through to 2 June Spurs are going to need to proceed very tactfully in the market. Real tightrope job …..not 'all guns blazing' !

There is no way the club are buying or selling anyone until after the CL final

Who was our last signing.... Lucas!
The guy just got a hat-trick & us in to the CL finals. Never happens if we didn't sign him. More signings like him... Yes please!

Okay mate, point taken.

Yesterday’s match once again showed us we are in dire need of replacing Trippier.

We need new fullbacks all together while I’m at it. That and new impulses on the midfield. Big Vic and Sissoko aren’t starting material even when we have injuries.

How about Ziyech btw? Cracking player. I know we have Chris and Dele and he might just be a somewhat poorer version of Eriksen but still...think he might do a good job here.

People who are over Van De Beek; I think he’s not on the level we aspire to be on. Reminds me of Davy Klaassen. And we all know how big Sam kicked him out of Everton...

Klaasen just didn't fit into Everton's system. He's looking a completely different player at Bremen right now.

We were in for Ziyech in the summer but he turned us down. He's hoping for Bayern apparently.

I think you've spotted the problem instantly....Davy Klaassen went from Ajax with their passing and quick movement to a team managed by Tugboat Sam. It's like Messi joining the Crazy Gang.

VDB is not only a superb footballer, he's extremely clever. The hand he had in the two Ajax goals last night were superb. The way he left it to the last minute to block off Jan for the first was excellent, his run to make space for Ziyech was also very clever.

VDB is the big talent in that team as he makes things happen by himself and by creating space for others.

So they need replacing then, I think even Poch will admit he didn't expect to get anything out of Sissoko and Llorente. If he could have sold them he would have done.

Replacing now of course they do.....but they could have been integrated from 2016 to now too and they might be useful players.

Like Sissoko and Llorente.
Llorente may have been even better with game time.

We’ve struggled, but some of it has been unnecessary.

So after some people melted after a terrible first half, which was a reflection of most of our games recently, some posters thought they would buy the ownership rights to who can celebrate, and who is and isn’t a fan.

( Joe Clash Joe Clash etc etc cough cough)

Let’s see who’s still supporting the players when the window opens shall we eh........LOOOOL

You melted hard mate, regardless of signings and the squad. You then did a 180, and Joe Clash Joe Clash was well within his rights to call you out.
