Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

No business will happen for the UCL Final. I'd imagine then we'd see movement on the Sessengon move, and maybe the NDombele move if true. It'd be interesting to see whether Poch goes back in for Grealish or whether he moves on to a Tielemans or Gomes.

If Ndombele would happen and Eriksen leaves, do you guys reckon (not do you hope) we will still look for a high quality like for like Eriksen replacement too?

It'd be interesting to see what happens if we do sell Eriksen, what the replacement would be or if we would change formation.

Lloris
AWB? - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Rose
NDombele - Winks - Dele
Lucas - Kane - Son
Kind of copying the City and Liverpool approach, but it has been successful. Dele is capable of playing centre mid, but i'd still like to see maybe Grealish, Gomes Tielemans in for depth, as well as strengthening other positions like attacking line.. Sessengon, Bowen, Ziyech?

Is it just me who isn't fully aboard the Ryan Sessegnon train?

I can't say I've seen a massive amount of him but he strikes me as someone who isn't outstanding in any one position - something like "as a defender he's an OK winger, as a winger he's an OK defender".

I also don't think left back/wing is particularly a priority, at least compared with CM/RB and other positions.

Zaha is a wally.

He signed a five year contract last Summer. If he was so desperate for CL football he shouldn’t have put pen to paper, and Palace would now be forced to cash in on their asset.

He’s a big fish in a small pond.

Can't judge a player on 90 minutes pal

Unfortunately the hype around Ndombele is based around one game v City

The Ndombele hype train is speeding out of control imo. Yes he had a great game against City and his YouTube vids are compelling but I think we need to calm down a bit.

He is still young and it's a big step up from Ligue 1 to the PL. For the price we will have to pay the pressure to succeed is going to be massive

No, I’m fully with you.

I think we suffer slightly from Bale syndrome, in that we assume we will sign a left sided player and he turns into a marauding monster.

Not convinced. Still, maybe worth it at a reduced price.

Sorry mate but we were linked with him last season and plenty of people on this forum wanted him.

This is before they even played city in the CL, that game was just the icing on the cake.

I just cant see him not having an agreement (formal or otherwise) with a decent release, as part of it he is keeping stuum for CP to maximize their revenue.... Otherwise he is really really dim because they have priced him out of a move the past two summers.

Every player we look at is always a gamble, but for me Ndombele has consistently performed at a very high level, with the PSG game coming to mind too

He has had a tougher season this season tho. The games against City were his only real stand out performances that were on level with his first season in Ligue 1 last season.

He's been good. But very invicible agains the bigger Ligue 1 teams this time around. Second season syndrome is a bitch at times. I would not say no to him but I also wouldn't pay anything close to 90-100 million for him.

Dortmund have just spent £50,000,000+ in the last few days, smashing their transfer record in the process.

Schulz and Hazard.

Let's hope they forget about Brandt.
