Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

conformation bias there - you are only looking at the ones where the transfer happens - I am sure the same behaviors happen for those links that do not happen and there is no way to distinguish between the two prior to the transfer. Pick a player - bet £50-£100 and see the odds move.
Yup. Spot on.

As was said previously, the markets are so small and see such little action that any substantial bet will move the needle.

Go put a grand on Paulo Dybala to go to Barca and watch him go from 33-1 to the favourite.

As for people ''in the know'' putting substantial bets on to cheat the system. That shows a complete lack of understanding of how bookmakers work and how much resource they put in to protect themselves. Any out of the ordinary bet is protected and researched. They found a League One player who placed a £1 accumulator including his own side and he got banned. But they won't find someone involved in a transfer placing huge bets on markets that get minimal action?

Stupidest take ever there.

Which is why I said 1/10 indicates probably a done deal. Not many bookies have odds on transfers because so many people have inside knowledge of what's actually happening, the player and people connected to them, and the clubs themselves. When the odds are so low it's not the worth the bet, means it's pretty likely.

Christ, you really don't understand the world, do you? Saying he wants a move = I want another contract.
LOL

Ramos' next contract, if at Real, will be worth substantially less than his current one which ends at the end of next season. At which time, he will be 34.

Real won't be putting him on a bumper contract like he is now and he wants to go to China to milk them. Either he leaves this summer for money, or he leaves for MLS or China in 2020.

But do tell us more about how people with inside tracks on transfers are en mass playing bookmakers and whacking wedge down on transfers they are involved in without being prosecuted and banned.

If anyone understand the world, it's you.
