Different signing a player like that compared to the levels we are trying to sign though. I'm sure if we had wanted Fornals we'd have gone for him and got him.
Competing with the likes of Real Madrid, Man U and Juventus for signings is a different ball game, as is forking out £50m-£70m for a player
Mine would be...
1) Ndombélé - No brainer, we've been scouting him for ages, he's clearly who we've wanted for a long time now and he is the real deal, should pay whatever it takes, really no room for fucking around with this one. If we miss out on him I will be genuinely gutted.
2) Lo Celso - Should be someone we try really hard to get regardless of whether Eriksen goes IMO, however unlike Ndombélé I wouldn't begrudge us walking away from the deal if Betis don't lower their demands.
3) Bruno Fernandes - Looks a top player and is incredibly similar to Eriksen, but I'd imagine he'd only come if Christian were to leave, which by the time he does Fernandes will in all likelihood be at United.
4) Tielemans - Good player but I would only go for him if we go absolutely balls to the wall for Ndombélé and we still miss out on him, which hopefully it won't come to.
5) van de Beek) - Useful player but the more I watch him the more he looks to me like literally a Dutch Dele, which for the cost it would take to get him, is not really something we need.
DOESN'T MATTER WHO THEY BOUGHT SOMEONE.

There is a reason why those players end up at west ham and not top six clubs generally speaking.
