Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Our squad has been strong enough to win a domestic and finish top 4 I said.
He would have to prioritise it.....are you saying the team that beat Ajax couldn’t have won the Carabou by now

Well the LC had City in the final last season but anyway he always rests the squad in the LC and FA, maybe he should do different but he probably weights that against the league and CL. Deeper squad and maybe he doesn’t.

As for top 4, he’s done really well the last few seasons get it 4 times, yes last season united where in a mess but City, United (under Jose), Liverpool and Chelsea are top teams.

Ahh there was me thinking we just knocked City out of the CL over two legs.
Carabou is beyond us though

Please try and tell me that we need Ndombele and Lo Celso to win the Carabou?
We just got to the CL final and finished top 4 playing shit.
Pretty sure we could have finished 4th and won a domestic at our peak.
But that’s right, Poch played Son at LB in the final didn’t he
We've got a fine team, moulded by a world class coach who has received little to no backing from his club in comparison to clubs that HAVE won trophies in England in the last 5 years, so I think saying we have a team that is "more than good enough" to win trophies as it stands, is juts simply not true.

Sammy, if our tune changes in both this current and forthcoming transfer windows and we start properly backing the manger and investing in the first team and still win nout, then you'll have a point obviously.
But until that happens it's just unfounded conjecture.

Madrid doing their business nice and early meaning those deals have been in the making for months which imv is the right approach. Pity we don’t have that luxury

I have ignored the last few Transfer threads but being reading these last few days. The number of comments is unbelievable and I doubt many can read all of them.
My view is that we have lost Dembele and Vorm and therefore need to address replacements. We clearly did not have enough strength on the bench for many matches last season and need to add to the squad.
If we lose more players then they must be replaced. I will not get involved in how much we should pay. A few pages back it was pointed out that our best players did not cost big money. Someone suggested we should employ Leicester's Scouts which may be a good point. Surely it is the Scouting that has been lacking these last 2 years. Where is the next Eriksen or Dele in our list of targets at reasonable prices. Nothing wrong with paying £63m for a top player but still a place for a good player at a more reasonable price.
I do not watch a lot of non Spurs football and cannot tell if our targets are good which is why I am reading this thread, not to listen to arguments on how much we should spend. but views on whether a target is any good.
Homegrown over foreign players is important and I would be reluctant to sell our Homegrown players for this reason.

Ok targets so far:

Ndombele: love him, he could be our best player in a few seasons if we get him, unreal talent. My fav young midfielder around above De Jong, has everything.

Lo Celso: only seen him a few times, looked really good, a busy body attacking De Bruyne type player.

Sessegnon: was the best player in the championship, had a hard time this season with a struggling Fulham but got bags of talent, clever player.

Jack Clarke: fuck knows.

It’s not conjecture because I haven’t said we won’t win anything.

But the question obviously makes people very uncomfortable

He probably doesn't realize he's going straight back to Leeds on loan
