Lo Celso seems to be Poch no 1 priority.

If Eriksen stays no need to replace him, if he goes to Madrid too many rumours of Ceballos on loan with option to buy for it not to have legs, and Madrid are not cash rich so need to pay for Eriksen in part with players.

And lots of rumours of Danni Olmo but think he's the option if Lamela leaves, unless Madrid demand a buy back clause in Ceballos loan contract in which case Olmo replaces Ceballos. .

So can't see atm where Zaniolo would fit into the squad - and not sure we would want to pay that much for another midfield prospect after spending circa £130m on Ndombele and Lo Celso.

Better to spend that money on other parts of the squad needing reinforcement whether CB or CF ?

Pretty sure one of the left footed targets in Lo Celso or Zaniolo will be an inverted RB

After being linked with Juventus, Trippier is now being linked with a move to Bayern.

I find it strange some really big clubs are so interested after the average season he has just had.

It’s not that strange. Firstly, much of the hysteria around Trippier is utter bollocks. Secondly, you look around Europe and see how few truly, flawless, experienced (top 4, CL) top class right backs there are around. Now find one that is productive offensively and contribute to midfield play - because that’s what most of these top proactive teams want.

You just have to look at who top teams in the PL have as their FB’s recently (Moses, Alonso, Delph, Walker, Danilo, Zinchenko, Laporte, Valencia, Young, Kolasonic, Maitland-Niles etc)
to realise the short supply of really good FB’s

He’s got flaws, but most FB’s have. Walker does, Rose does, and all those above do. But a lot of the things people call him out on are them not understanding the way we play and how it exposes our Fb’s.

Trippier averages more passes a game than all our midfielders, creates more chances than everyone bar Eriksen, none of our regular players average more tackles, only 3 players average more interceptions.

Really not surprising that a player who’s played consistently for a very proactive, demanding, top4, CL team would be on decent radars.
