If Eriksen stays and Lo Celso falls through, we really should pursue Zanilo as a long term replacement for Eriksen, the kid has talent is certainly young enough.
Seen a bit of him and to be honest... looks very similar to Lamela.

Medium paced, fairly skilful, hard working , left- footed wide player.

Don’t really see the need for him, especially when you consider how much more impressive Lamela was over in Rome.

Lo Celso far more able to dictate play.

I rate Maguire, good CB's are difficult to find, and with PL and CL squad rules, English players are genuinely worth more, especially for the big clubs. If Joao Felix is worth 113M, it doesn't seem crazy to me that Maguire is worth 80M.

What DOES seem crazy is that clubs aren't lining up to pay 25M for Toby.

Toby wages and length of contract.

Allegedly wants circa £200k per week (£10m pa) for a 5 year contrsct., So £75m over 5 years.

He's 30 so most clubs might be happy to give a 3 year contract with a one year option ( so club can exercise the option not Toby) and probably wages closer to £150k PW (£7.5m pa) totalling £47.5m plus an optional £ 7.5m.

Do nobody wants to pay full £25m plus high wages to Toby for 3 years service.

Big difference for Maguire at age 26 and maybe another ,7 years at the top with lesser wage demands.

Does the club really value Toby at 25m if this deal goes through?

Problem with Ricky Sachs us he retweets articles that most have seen and then retweets which are rewrites if the original article. So he usually retweets the same story originated fro. One source 2 or 3 or more times.

And no attempt to filter out those which don't bear close examination.

If the clause in Toby's contract says that he must have signed a contract with another club no later than 2 weeks before the end of the PL transfer window, then I think the last date is 25 July.

If Toby is on the club tour we leave on about Wednesday and play the 2nd game on July 25 - and clubs generally make players inaccessible to their agents once on tour.

So if Toby goes on tour in about 3 or 4 days time it's even more likely than not that he's staying and probably running down his contrsct. Think everyone will be pleased not to have the distration of Toby's contract and is he staying or going !

Bold move as he's refused several contract offers so remains on about £70k PW versus the £150k he could be on at Spurs so missing out o about £4m each year - so already turned down about £10m and another year of missed opportunity coming up. Think he will find it difficult to be guaranteed to make that up at another club over the 3 or 4 year contract he is likely to get until the end of his top flight playing career.

Maguire is 26 years old central defender proven what he can do in the EPL. Manure are shi!te in their back 4. £80m to solidify a shaky defence is good business.

The worrying stats are he is 1.94m and weigh 100kg , well over the simplistic BMI. In 2 years time he will be obsolete.
