Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Dunk for 45 is even more stupid than Maguire for 80

We all have our reservations about Sanchez, I’m sure, but he’s better than Dunk. This market is fucking mental and out of touch with us poor (and stupid) cunts that fund it

So much money in the game now it's only going to get more crazy.

It is sickening and in truth we are priced out of it.

Not sure what we do or what we should expect but the sums for players are sheer insanity.

The Premier League need to get a grip on it or I think we are moving inevitably to a change of transfer model.

45 million pounds for a centre back to replace an 80 million pound centre back.

Strewth.

Downgrade at CB but probably strengthened squad by getting a CB and striker with the money.
Yup. You accept losing a little in one area to upgrade massively in others, and hopefully improve overall as a result.

Maguire is not that good that Leicester can’t imorove without him.

Dunk is as good a replacement that they can get, Tielemans is there permanently and Ayoze is much better than Kelechi and is Firmino-lite.

We’re not priced out of anything; we’re just smarter/ more cautious.

In our CB situation Saliba represents far better bang for the buck.

If we think like Man united we’d lose to them straight up, because their pockets are deeper than an ocean trench.

However superior scouting, development and coaching can go a long way.

Leicester have a mighty fine squad, a good good manager and a chairman who backs him.

Full respect to them.

No fcuking about as well. Identify targets and try and buy them as opposed to clubs who just prance around like peacocks.

How long has Rodgers been there and already he is clear in his mind about football philosophy and what his squad needs.

A definite contender for top 6 if not higher in my opinion.

We have been operating in a different way in the transfer market whilst remaining as competitive as we can be, there will always be good deals to be had If we are smart enough and willing to put the time in on younger players.

Did you not watch him at our end of season game against Brighton? Very composed, kept us quiet virtually all game. And he was quality against Woolwich too. But 45 million??! Ridiculous.
I was there at the match, the were playing 10-0-0 formation, they were defending the whole 90 mins but don't know their players apart from the veteran striker can't remember his name ... then CE 87 min screamer, what a feeling!
