Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Thinking about it, selling trippier makes sense. Three right backs is one too many anyway so someone had to go. Out of those three he's the oldest, he would also probably fetch the highest bid.

No word on llorente more than two weeks after his cut off point either, it seems more than a guess to suggest that the club are offering him a one year extension (reduced?).

Rose and Davies? Well one has just signed a new contract and the other isn't flying out on tour. If he is being sold it would suggest a new left back is coming. Wild guess as to who that would be? Either that or pochettino has his sights set on a youth player?

Janssen has been linked, N'Koudou might yet stay, not that that's a good thing but still, there are no apparent rumours as of yet. Still, neither have travelled with the club so...

Carter-vickers has attracted interest from shef wed, Onomah from swansea. Nothing on Edwards.

Eriksen and alderweireld are staying?

Poch said we had to be bold in the transfer market, and now it seems we could be losing

Toby
Trippier
Rose
Eriksen

3 nailed-on 1st teamers in one window.

Seems madness, but he has clearly planned for this possibility. He sounds very relaxed in recent interviews.

I suspect Ndombele was the one he thought might get away, and the one he really wanted. Now he's in, he's pretty chilled about the rest of our business. Lo Celso and Sessegnon lined up, just waiting to get some cash in from sales.

We need fullbacks that can defend and not get caught high up the pitch or out of position. Its nailed on we will see more of foyth. With my managers hat on developing him at right back is spot on. Hes great on the ball, quick and strong enough for a fullback. This was pre planned last season when he had a couple of games at the end of last season

A slightly terse message saying all the best in the future - not a lot of thanks etc ?!

Maybe Trippier forcing his way out before we really wanted him to leave - or am I reading too much into this ?
Seems good enough to me, although it would've been nice to mention some of the silverware we've won since he arrived. :troll:

It's certainly a risk and it is terrifying in the sense that we are basically hoping that they pull a Liverpool and become dominant more or less out of nowhere like Robertson and TAA. If Foyth/KWP/Sessegnon don't develop we are in deep shit.

Personally I think we need to bring in another actual RB with actual experience in a league, any league really. Max Aarons may be coming up from Champo but he still has loads more experience than Foyth/KWP at that position on a league winning side. United seemed to be giving up on Dalot, I think he'd be great.

Same for LB if Rose leaves (likely) - no idea why we aren't in on Tierney, especially since Celtic seem pissed at Woolwich. Digne would be great as well.

But Poch seems to have a fetish for a project and he's hoping to pull another Rose/Walker circa 2014/15 out of his hat. If this fails I don't think the blame can go anywhere but Poch, frankly.
There's ony the two reasons not to go for Tierney
1. He can't defend
2. It's been widely reported he has a degenerative injury and no one knows how long it will last.

Arsehole signing him for £30 million would be beyond a dream come true.

PSG are favourites @ Sky Bet, followed by Leeds.

Although I got the feeling that he will end up at Everton.

Rose wants to go back north.

Leeds are not in PL so he can't go there , but Everton is probably the correct call as it's not too far from Leeds/ Doncaster area which is where he come from.

Also sets up a possible deal to swap Rose for Digne, and he was rumoured to be mates with Fabian Delph who has just moved to ,Everton, plus he'll know Pickering from England squads etc

Is it really a good idea to sell both Trippier and Rose? And maybe Alderweireld too?

Next year we'd have none of our regular back 4 starters... really risky replacing them all within 12 months imo

But heyo faith etc
