Why - we've already got 4 plus Dier and Davies who have both played for their countries (and us) in that position. I think 6 gives us sufficient cover - and that's not even taking into account Tanganga who played today. Think there are more desperate positions to fill - well only two desperate ones really and that's full backs. Anything else is a bonus boost to the squad.
Many might disagree. But it just my opinion.
We have quantity but not the right quality in cb. We can said the same for our rb and lb. But given a choose to cover just with an expensive signing, I would choose a cb.

I kn
Rodrígués, he's called simply James here (and in Colombia and in Bayern), pronounced Hammess, natch.

I know.....my poor attempt at humour......soz!!

If Bale struggled to learn Spanish then he'll be fucked in China.

Reports continuously say he will only make a move thats best for his family. He has a relatively young family so I'm not sure China is the best move, especially kids having to learn a new language.

I think he'd want a move back to England, but no one will meet his wages. If Madrid paid his contract off then he would probably come back to England has he'd be roughly £33,000,000 richer.

Think we have an option to match the best offer in the Bale to Madrid contract

But if the reports are true that the Chinese are willing to continue to pay Bale mega wages. We are out of it
Tottenham's Bale buy-back clause
Tottenham inserted a clause in their world-record sale of Bale to Real Madrid which meant they could match a bid for the Wales international.

The option gave Spurs up to 72 hours to match any accepted bid from a Premier League club.
However, the clause only lasted for the length of Bale's first contact at the Santiago Bernabeu, which was six years and expired on June 30, 2019.
Bale extended his contract in 2016 for a further three years, back Tottenham's option did not extend with it.

His kids will go to a foreign language school and end up speaking American only mixing with Expats and Rich Chinese kids. If he is happy in Spain not knowing the language very well it will be the same in China, all the golf clubs will speak English and he will probably only mix with Expats. Its £1M tax free they are quoting, for 3 years living in a bubble.

I loved China when I visited, so if he wanted to do a bit of travel there is lots to see but you get the impression he is not bothered.

I'd take a slightly different view of CB which is that we are still unsure whether Alderweireld and Vertonghen are leaving next summer. And if so we may want to bring ii a CB and maybe loan back or train up with Spurs.

That way our worst case is to bring in one CB next summer, rather than both CBs

But it also comes down to availability of good quality players - we may or may not want a RB but if no good ones are available we will stick with what we have as buying is not an option

Hopefully Betis gets these Fekirs over the line so that we can bring in Lo Celso as soon as he's back from his break.

The Sessegnons should hopefully be finalized this week as well.

After that its selling some people, maybe buying one more? But we may be done with Clarke, Ndombele, Lo Celso and the Sess Twins.

Even by Hercules' low low standards, this is shite:

STRIKERS
I do not have any intel on Llorente 1 year proposal. But we do not want to spend good money on a ‘back-up’ (word I don’t like). Whilst Troy may not be ready, and the potential of the kid which we signed from Notts County. I am hearing that we are concerned about spending large in that department.

Tentative inquiries have taken place on experienced ‘back-ups’, but proving challenging, as quality experience have options. If a very good and attractive deal is there near the end of the window, we look at it.

This is my opinion now! All down to Llorente I would say.

Steven is just a makeweight, would like Olmo as well but if not I'm ok with spending ending, providing we keep TA and Eriksen.

Assuming Lo Celso and Sessegnon are done in he next week, I think it's just a question of Spurs looking at who is still available and whether they would improve the squad, but maybe assuming no more than 30m or 40m in total for say 2 players ,- and also assuming we get a couple of outgoings like Janssen and Wanyama for example both to generate transfer fees and free up wages space Might be youngsters rather than first team ?

Well, according to the all knowing Twitter ITKs

Lo Celso could be Wed
Sessegnon could also be Wed but it could be Tues
but they could also both be on Fri.

Thursday is feeling a bit left out....
I'm hearing #24/#48/#96/#120 hours

Not sure how we're gonna get through the tricky 48-96 hour window, although the Tour de France will be entering the Alps then and the England-Ireland test match starts...
