Strengths and weaknesses, mike?Cantwell's a good young player who could develop into a great at the right club (not Norwich). He'd be a good acquisition.

Bore off. The problem is we should have been looking at an upgrade on Lloris instead of replacing Vorm ffs. Our clown defence has needed an overhaul since 2018.Oh just fuck off. He was supposed to be our third GK, not his fault that we didn’t sort out a replacement for Vorm as the second goalkeeper.
Him and Davies. Both young, homegrown.
Cantwell is very similar to Dele in the sense that he has a free role when Norwich have possession and he looks to get on the end of things rather than offer much in their build-up play. I have seen little or no vision in his game.
Rory DelapAll we need is to resign crouch and llorente then get another couple of players who can hoof the ball over the midfield and hope that one of these can then control the ball outside the box and lay it off to son or Kane to score![]()

IMO, Maddison is (and will remain) streets ahead of him in terms of technical ability and vision. At his best, Eriksen was a very good playmaker. Cantwell is not a playmaker.Oh, I actually see him differently. I think he's brilliant in link-up play and has a great awareness. There's a little prime Eriksen over him just without the long range finishing.
He may actually turn out to be more consistent than Maddison. He could turn out a real star (maybe not under Mourinho).

If your favoured foot is good enough, you can make a good fist of it, although obviously I prefer a player who is comfortable with both. Cantwell takes too many touches and doesn't really see a pass. He searches out pockets of space. Buendia is Norwich's main creative force. He is almost all right foot, but his close control is savage. And he can rip a defence to shreds with his quick, incisive passing. He is only 5' 7" but works his nuts off. No problem to him to kick a much bigger man like Zaha (or put him on his arse, like he did a couple of days ago). And Alli a few days before that.I'm not sure Cantwell is fully two-footed. In my view this is essential for a creative midfielder like Eriksen.
IMO being two footed is essential for all players.Cantwell more Dele than Eriksen for me.

Agreed - when was Twitter ever wrongNorwich fans seem to think Cantwell has a higher ceiling than Maddison. They ought to know more than us
Agreed. However there's a major difference between being naturally two-footed and improving your weaker foot so it more than just for standing on.IMO being two footed is essential for all players.
I've lost count how many times I've said that to people. I just don't understand why players don't try to improve their weaker foot.
