Don't get it why do we bother loaning him.
Sell him, get some cash and buy a replacement, ffs lad is soon 23 and has no experience nor physique needed to cut it in top level. Let's forget this meaningless sentimental stuff about being academy player and winning youth tournament.

If you have never played consistent first team football by 22,5, you can't be good enough.

Zidane was 24 years old when he first started getting first team minutes at a big club.

FFS, they are (almost) all under 20 years old, letting them go on permanent deal would be insane. Guy that needs to go as we already seem to know much more about him, and is much older, is KWP.

KWP had a 3 assist prem game last year. Aurier is a walking fuck-up of an RB.
It's honestly baffling as to why KWP can't get a game when Aurier has singlehandedly lost several games for us.

Bit of a hollow statement given the discussion we've found ourselves having.... Signing HG players and making room for them isn't a challenge... Doing the same for Non-HG is.

Considering DM is widely seen as our biggest need, by ignoring the HG issue, we're stuck having to sign a Brit. Any suggestions of someone HG who'll be a surefire success and save our season?

(Tricky question, huh.....)

Rose we turned down two bids from Watford so that's why he's still here.

Wanyama is making lots of overtures to Celtic, and even did so back in 2017. He appeared in the Daily Record stating how he'd love to go back and it's his favourite experience in football. Celtic obviously won't pay the big money, so we might have to accept less to get rid of him. But his interest in Celtic is very real.

But that Hollow statement...

26 players and that doesn't take into consideration Skipp, Parrott, Roles, Amos, Tanganga and the supposed young ones coming through. That's at least 29 maybe 31 first team players and maybe more after that.

Let me ask you this. Forgetting about the players thoughts and wishes. Do you feel the club has been as proactive as possible in trying to shift players it doesn't need?

Fuck no. Levy would rather take a chance on a player recovering pre-injury form no matter how small the chance than lock in a loss on transfer fees. He's like a market butcher trying to sell rotting meat at a fresh meat price. The team is and has been suffering for it too.

Got any credible links?

Any talk in 2017 was obviously regarding a hypothetical future and not him making "overtures".

Like I say, got any recent links to him saying he wants to join them? ...Anything the co-oberates your claims about wages etc.?

Still curious about the "Jose wants rid of Sanchez" articles you mentioned the other day too.

Again, young HG players aren't an issue... Especially those out on loan. Mentioning CCV, Roles & Amos is a distortion on your part.

Doesn't that caveat make it a loaded question?

Anyway, you answer my HG DM question first if we're playing Q & A.

I try not to get too involved in the Levy discussion, but this is spot on.

He gets a good deal buying players, but he is fucking awful trying to sell. As you suggest, he places absurd values on individuals that are barely worth half that amount.

One thing I've learned about you mate is that you like press reports to back up your queries.

Rose - InsideFutbol, The Express and Skysports are reported this. All easy enough to find on Google.

Wanyama - I don't have anything specific about wages, but then in an interview with the Daily Record, Wanyama says the move to Bruges "simply failed to materialise" so he never mentions that was down to wages either. Again in the Daily Record, upon signing for Celtic, Fraser Forster says "Victor wished me all the best and said how lucky I was. He's told me to keep a shirt warm for him". That was on the 22nd August last year. I know the date as I met Forster at arrivals in Glasgow Airport.

Young players might not be so much of an issue while on loan. But if they have no future why bother with them? CCV is at best 5th choice centre Half, probably closer to 6th. He's 22 and while I fully agree he's probably not taking up much wages, what is the point in players that age and that far down the pecking order remaining?

And no it's not a loaded question, it's a simple one. Do you think the club have made as much effort as possible to get rid of unwanted players?

And if you want an HG DM who would improve us, ok, on this season's form, Ollie Norwood.

Belgian media were replying with direct quotes from the Club Bruge manager ( a former team mate of Wanyama) that they had agreed s fee with THFC (think it was £13m) and had a deal on the table with Wanyama at circa £65k. Wanyama turned the deal down at the last moment.

Celtic fans are sure Wanyama wants to return to them - but cannot afford his wages let alone a transfer fee. Poch reaction calling Wanyama out for treating THFC as a charity suggests Wanyama wanted Spurs to pay the majority of his wages at Celti and no fee.......

Players now have more power than they ever had. And with that is the problem clubs have in moving them on.

Not exactly.... However, I am wary of spurious claims and fan theory presented as fact. Funny that.....

Young players might not be so much of an issue while on loan. But if they have no future why bother with them?

First and foremost to fathom whether indeed they DO have a future.

Secondly, the purpose of our academy is broader than simply operating on the basis that its graduates are either 'bin' or 'starters'.

CCV is at best 5th choice center Half, probably closer to 6th. He's 22 and while I fully agree he's probably not taking up much wages, what is the point in players that age and that far down the pecking order remaining?

Every player is an asset.... You develop them best you can and choose the optimum time to move them on if they're deemed not gonna make it.... 9 million for a player like Alex Pritchard is not to be sniffed at .

As I keep saying CCV (eg) is a non-factor given the matter of squad numbers that sparked this debate. That some academy players have not gone on loan and have taken up a squad place but not played (eg Skipp & KWP) has been down to Poch; not an unwillingness by Levy to sell them.

And no it's not a loaded question, it's a simple one. Do you think the club have made as much effort as possible to get rid of unwanted players?

Of course it is.... Other clubs + the player = 2/3rds of the equation.

Have we made an effort? Yes.... Are we prepared to make financial sacrifices in order to do so.... In some cases yes. In others, no.

And if you want an HG DM who would improve us, ok, on this season's form, Ollie Norwood.

Not sure why Utd would sell in Jan, but that's another can of worms.

For some reason Sky are running quotes from Jose on Bruno Fernandes from last month.

"I would definitely say no, because Bruno is a player of a level and value that is not for us," Mourinho said last month.

"We are not a club that is going to make big transfers in the market, nor is it going towards players who are already developed or at a certain level of expectation. We are a different club at this level”

my question. Is what level are we ?
