Sissoko is out for months, Ndombele banged up all year, Dier not impressive, Wanyama on the out....Gedson fills a position of need. Given our situation, loan with option to buy makes sense.

A Striker should be no. 1 priority. we literally don't have one. I assume that's Piatek. I imagine it will happen but will take another week/10 days.

After watching us today draw a blank I’m more convinced than ever we need another striker in this window. I’m not certain where the goals will come from if we don’t get one in.
We could have had a couple today. The issue is we have no-one playing as a striker, and seem to be rotating Lucas / Son / Dele through there.
One of the (few) reasonable things the commentary team mentioned today was having a CF who can play alongside and in place of Kane so it doesn’t massively disrupt the team if either is out. When Kane and Llorente did this last season, it worked really well after the first try. It’s a bit old-school to have two proper strikers on the pitch (or a CF as an AM, backing the first m) but might be an option? Particularly as Kane seems to like dropping off a little and playing passes about, QB style.

I guess Gedson is better than nothing, but I am very underwhelmed...

Really hoping this loan for 18 months means we are going all out on a rb and forward this window

I would much prefer to watch Kane play alongside another specialist striker rather than this shitshow of Kane + a shadow striker.
