The idea being I guess that we sign a player out of Mendes' stable. They become a success and if we sell them on we make a bit of profit? Some of his clients will obviously be retained longer than others.

I'm not talking about loan signings. If Mendes is going to start playing a part in our squad setup it is going to players in both on loan and on full on transfers.
We've been doing that for too long, the most recent example is Clark. We need to worry more about improving the team and less about profiting from investment signings.

Some new and interesting names on there, wonder why they didn't also suggest Hakimi (who they merely used as a comparison). Price maybe?

But when you look at "their Spurs team" at the end of the piece, and it has Vertonghen (a player no longer quick enough to play CB let alone LB) or Davies as LB, you can't help but wonder why they feel a new RB is even more a priority than a LB.
Price. Tifo tends to lean young and cheap (under €25m) when it comes to their transfer videos.

so stupid, they were a championship club b4 mendes. now they are in europe.

Perhaps level thinks mendes can help take us to the next level

hes not a bad person to know is he?
But we aren't a championship club trying to get into the Europa league, we are the champion league finalists.
Why have we hired a world class manager and told him to shovel up shit with his bare hands?

Probably because they weren't prepared to offer us the loan framework.

It's becoming more and more obvious that Levy is now using loan deals to hedge against the risk of an absolute dud. We probably could buy Gedson for 35 million now, but he would rather pay more, at a later stage, to ward against the utter flop.

Either that or we are still waiting for the cashflows from the new stadium to trickle through. ie in 2 to 3 years we will have alot more cash at hand.

That seems like a very limiting decision if that is truly the case. Loans with options to buy are generally good business with younger players, but 22+ you really should be looking to buy outright, especially those with multiple senior seasons under the belt in the top 5 leagues (Ndombele).

dont waste your breath on him. he wont understand

New RB, Sanchez, Toby / Tanganga, New LB
New DM

Ndombele, Lo Celso
Moura, Kane, Son

433 ish.

Sess, Lamela, Sissoko, Winks, Davies to cover where required.

This is where i'd like us to be the beginning of next season.

Ndombele getting his fitness up. Lo Celso with minutes under his belt after the Eriksen soap opera finally reaches its inevitable conclusion.

Alli has been purposely overlooked as i cant say i'm overly confident that he will still be with us.

Parked bus wankering our way back into the top four and a couple of cups before Jose takes the whole thing down with a petrol can and a match.
