You commenting on a post about someone called Duchess is very fitting for your avatar btw.

I was in Madrid and that will live with me forever.
I was at Wembley 91 semi final that is something that l take to my grave ,
Those games were unbelievable ,amazing but they led to no glory , a epic battle won but the war we lost.

....That doesn't serve to further your point.

We didn't lose a war.... I understand it's a metaphor, but no-one died along the way; it's not impossible to enjoy and appreciate the highs and lows of the journey.

I've never seen us lift a trophy in person.... That doesn't mean my memories on the terraces aren't precious.

I was at the 91 Semi-final. Was there with my late father. Will never forget that match, us hugging and celebrating. Thanks Gazza and crew. That there is what football and 'your' club is about right there.

If only they could bottle that stuff, I would buy it by the lorry load.

Your memories are very precious , the high and lows are brilliant and painful. I agree with you .
My point is they didn't end in true glory as defined by Mr Nicholson .
