when we finish this season in 12th place having scored 4 goals in our last 10 matches or something similar to that , there better be an explanation /statement from the club on their reasoning for pissing the season away

The arrogance this club displays with little to back it up astonishes me

I think the club felt that top 4 was basically ours now and that we could half ass the squad and still have it each year

Brugges average attendance is 27,000, Celtic is 57,000 and also former European cup champions.
I bet you would fall over yourself to suck Mean Dan Levy's pecker in front of an attendance of 27,000 for that kind of money, MVP MVP , you old shark.

I'm not saying he was good at selecting players either but Levy did appoint him, so he should back his decisions. I think Sissoko was a desperation signing, he was offered and Poch just accepted because he thought it was better then nothing at all.

Levy offered 3m and Onomah for Grealish who I think is overrated anyway.

Levy appointed him as coach and at that not sure anyone had a major problem with his performance as coach. Issue came when Poch demanded greater control of transfers and no DoF.

Worth mentioning that Levy appointed Edwards who is now Liverpool Dof (and very successful at being in charge of transfers, although working to a budget like anyone else) so Poch shouldn't have feared that a Dof would be anything other than an objective independent person focused and expert on transfers - which if Poch had accepted would have been excellent for both Spurs and Poch.

Don't think the story of £3m plus Onomah is credible unless an alternative to a £25m bid, Levy may be tight but not stupid and stories in Brum local papers that Grealish had said his goodbyes expecting the deal to go through.

It will be something like, in the summer we spent over 100m on players, January is typically not a good time to buy. Obviously we would have liked to be in the top 4 but it wasn't to be. We will regroup and try and again next season.

The striker we deserve.

The scottish commentary makes that video.

Disappointed Piatek has gone cold. I felt he could have been a decent option long term
Of course we won't be going after Piatek - that would cost money up front and not be a loan + option to buy that shifts the real cost to after ENIC have sold the club.

The longer Poch stayed the more influence he had but Levy is the defacto DOF, I don't think he wanted Sissoko or going back earlier Stambouli or Fazio. The right DOF is a tremendous help, the wrong one is a hindrance. Also there is no point in recruiting a DOF if he has no power.
Poch said in his book that he didnt want sissoko. I'm sure his detractors wont believe him but he certainly claimed it.

With dofs ? Were doing it all wrong.

We should hire the dof who then chooses the head coach. Now we have a manager who is so powerful and confident were going to find it impossible to get anyone buy Campos in if we do want a DOF.

Poch also made a big thing about him being very good at developing young players.

And we know that is not true - latest proof being Tanganga's performances after being ignored by Poch despite a great preseason - including, as JM said, marking Ronaldo out of the game.

So I wouldn't take everything Poch says in his book as 100% gospel.

Well that was always going to happen, he wanted Schneiderlin and got Stambouli, he was after a top defender and got Fazio. I think he saw how Mitchell got more frustrated with the job and didn't think the system would work. Especially as the relationship with a different DOF would not be as close as it was with Mitchell.

Levy is tight, he definitely did not want part with 25m for Grealish otherwise he would have have done it ages ago.

Had we busted a gut to improve the team I would have been busting a gut to watch us play. Ive not been once this year.

Having said that, the stadium is full so why bother if you are levy?

I dont recall him making a big thing about young players.

I think his reputation was because at our best we were a young team. When his project started most of them were young players. He also changed things round by dropping experienced players for the likes of Mason, kane and bentaleb.

So no it's not true. I'm personally grateful for the man to make us champions league regulars , finally overtaking the scum and experiencing a cl final even if it was disappointing on the night. Remind me how much success we had in the 15 years prior?

Using 2 appearances by a young kid to besmirch the reputation of a man who brought us so much is odd. This ain't aftv. Be grateful for our most successful manager in decades. If you dont rate him leave it out and focus on Mourinho, no need to act like poch didnt give this club loads.

I think JM is using Tanganga because he doesn't have a lot of choice.

Actually MVP, by last summer (and following the previous summer’s debacle) I think Levy had actually reigned in some of Poch’s influence over recruitment, which is why we saw us doing “younger” more “high potential” orientated business again - the kind that stood us in good stead prior to Poch demanding a different “brave” approach.

Most young players get their first chance through injuries or the first team player is not performing well over a period of time, always been the way. Kane got his first PL starts as Soldado wasn't performing - he'd have probably eventually got one as he was so highly rated but the reason he got one was Soldado's lack of goals.

Time will tell, but he does seem to be making an effort to involve some youngsters - Cirkin (18 year old LB) on bench v Boro. Early days for Mourhino but maybe he will continue to develop youth - he brought several through at ManU, again as some of the squad were not performing and youth were a possible solution which he took

Like Jack Clarke? The kid will never play a game for us. Investing to sell on rather than trying to improve the squad.
