When losing the ball gets us outnumbered at the back then its directly responsible for the goal. But we had tons of players at the back who were just not clicked on and let their players through. The ones who lost boufal and let him have the shot are more directly responsible for the goal.

Whilst a new striker is the most gaping hole in the squad right now with Kane injured, there are so many other issues we need to address as well...
RB: Aside from the fact Aurier isn't very good, he can't play every game either. Need a back up/competition ASAP.
LB: We need a new first choice left back; period. Rose is gone, Davies is painfully average, Sessengnon looks hopelessly out of his depth when he plays there and Tanganga is a right footed centre back. No excuses, we need a new player here.
CDM: The most important position we need to rectify. Bin off Dier and Wanyama and bring in a top quality/destroyer number 6. I don't know if Jose thinks that Soumare kid is the answer, but we need to bring in some real quality in this position and stop persistently plugging a round hole with a square peg by playing Winks there.
Number 10: We simply cannot just bury our heads and pretend we don't need to replace Eriksen, we absolutely must replace him and with top quality, no ifs, no buts. If the Bruno Fernandes deal to Manure really is off then we should be all over it. And I really hope we don't hear the usual 'there was no one available' bollocks. Even Woolwich as inept as they are got Aubameyang in the January window they lost Sanchez. If we pay the money we can replace him now.
Striker: No need to explain this. We need a striker and a decent striker at that. Not fucking Llorente on loan.
I'm not expecting all of these to be addressed in January, hell I wouldn't even expect us to address them all by next Summer with how clueless we tend to be in the market (the Gedson signing for example, can anyone explain what the point of it was? Another box to box/no. 8 was literally the LAST position in the whole squad we needed to strengthen) but I seriously hope that there are no Spurs fans out there that don't agree we need an overhaul as drastic as this to really get back to challenging again.

Well it's not exactly a double standard. A defender is supposed to prevent goals, an attacker is supposed to score them.
You are right you cant lose possession when no one is behind you. But there were many players at the back. Our CMs and leftback should have dealt with Boufaul and didnt . Thats who Jose will be talking to.
