I think that is us done now although missing out on a striker will cost us but we haven't addressed that problem for the past 4/5 windows so why bother now.
Levy is definitely playing hardball with a club or two right now. He's the master at holding out for the best deal, even at the cost of no deal as he's proven many times before.

I have a feeling Fernandes is going to settle in well at United. What might have been...

Am i the only one that's optimistic about tomorrow then?

I expected us to sign nobody this window and i know under Poch we would have done just that (and Poch would have proceeded to send mixed messages to the media about him being happy...sad...happy...angry...happy about it). We have brought in 2 exciting players and i'm sure a large part of that is thanks to Mourinho insisting we need players and not being a yes man.

Hopefully he does that again tomorrow.

I think this has been a tidy window and I'd rather we try Steven at CF or tactics change than just get in somebody to keep the fans happy. We will never be happy.

We're always optimistic on transfer deadline day. :)

Well this is definitely not open to exploitation...

Funny, but as an aside...is Harry on his back or has he installed his laminate flooring wrong?
:sonhmm:

Yes we have goal scoring issues, so a striker would be nice, but there's fuck all point signing a shit one on loan for 5 months. It's disappointing that we haven't gone in for a DM though, as that's by far our biggest issue. We can't exert control over matches because our midfield gets towelled up. Ndombele and lo Celso can't play at their best without someone more defensive behind them, which is hurting our offensive capabilities. Play Parrott there ever second game, and paly son through the middle with either of Bergwijn or Sessegnon coming in on the left.

Honestly, I really hope that Jose is considering playing Skipp as that position is a massive hole for us right now. He's given a chance to tanganga in an even more crucial position against Liverpool ffs. Fill in the holes with youth, at least it is at no cost to the club.

Skipp (DM)
Parrott (ST)
Tanganga (CB)
Cirken (LB)

why not give them a go, can't be any worse than rubbish players from elsewhere, who don't identify with the club in any way
But surely one of the richest clubs, charging the highest ticket prices in the world shouldn't be relying on unproven teenagers to fill the gaping holes in our squad!

Agreed.

Also nice to see Mourinho actually realising our youth players need minutes and gave them some nice loans too.

Fun fact about Can: Juventus have never won a game when he started (and he is never the deepest midfielder closest to the defense)

Fun fact.

This isn't true.

He's started 25 games for them.

And they've won 16 of those games.

That's a 64% win percentage with him in the team.
