Hmm... could anyone explain why didn't we want to go for Jarrod Bowen this window?
Compared to Bergwijn he is around same age, homegrown, used to physical football, lot of experience as well. Price would have become bit cheaper...
Just he seems like kind of Maddisson->Leicester deal basically...
And with him the risks would have been remarkably lower - buy him for 20 mil, even if he plays bad, in 1,5 years time he is still youngish (25), homegrown, proved in Championship and been at Spurs - we could sell him for same or higher amount.
Though ofc I hope that Bergwijn will turn out to be massive success which will make me ashamed of writing this post
