Sadly a loan means the temporary transfer of a player's registration so loans don't count as part of a 2 or 3 year period for u21's or club Trained - Spurs first found out about that the hard way under 'arry with one of our budding stars who had been loaned (cant recall who now) and couldn't qualify as u21/club trained.

So by keeping him in house for the 2nd half of the season, next year he will be eligible for List B (u21) - currently he counts as an overseas trained player, and that would continue next season if we loaned him out.

Also means he's completed 2 of the 3 years at Spurs needed before the age of 21 to become a Club trained player, which may simplify future loan decisions.
Its a reason for keeping him unless we think he can be a first team option in the next 2 years.

I'm not very happy that we end up without a striker, but we also need to acknowledge it's not too easy to bring players in January. Otherwise, I wasn't expecting us to bring in an entire team and I also think we did well to offload some of the deadwood. Would have been a great window had we gone in for a striker, but I guess we'll have to see what we can do with what we have at our disposal. I'm definitely not panicking due to this. Onwards and upwards!

Hah, I intended to answer that "you understand the difference between those two things"
but then I realized you might not.

Maybe after 2 minutes of 1st math class you just threw in the towel and gave up. Too hard of a subject. Why try to achieve something. Lost fight already.
You've given up on the title already.

Loser.

If only there was some way, outside of maths, to make a prediction of the likeliness of something happening.

You know, like form and watching the football Spurs are playing.

In the last few weeks we've struggled v. Watford, Southampton, Norwich and Middlesbrough. But we should be beams of light and optimism about turning that around immediately. Despite all the evidence to the contrary.

There's being optimistic...then there is ignoring all the evidence.

Hopefully we turn it around. But I've hope that since a year ago. Hasn't happened yet.

With some of the striker options, I'm coming round to the idea that Son up top with Bergwijn to the left is not a bad option by comparison.

Might also try Dele up top with Son one side and Bergwijn to the other and Lo Celso as no 10.

All options with Parrott, Moura and Lamela on the bench.

Not ideal, but not ridiculous either.

I mean....no quick fixes is admirable but I don’t count having a backup striker a quick fix.
For one of the biggest clubs in the world with aspirations of CL a decent second option at striker should a “do not pass go do not collect $200” necessity.

6 ft 2 and 23 years old.

So clearly strikers available...

Sorry, this appears in first page of search results.. :D

I think it's a good option too, better than trying Giroud but JM doesn't think so, otherwise we wouldn't have been chasing Giroud.

Quick fix ? We have had a whole fucking month. Utter shambles. #levyout #enicout

It was always going to be a quick fix, regardless.

Kane is number one when he's back.

A quick fix however is Son up top and getting someone capable of playing out wide to compensate for losing Son out there.

Which is probably the road we are going to go down. Now we've signed Bergwijn.
