Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

IMO theres a reason why Mourinho plays so defensively and sits back with all the players. He doesnt have enough attacking players to play high tempo and press for 90 mins, he would be killing Lucas, Bergwijn, Dele etc. The players are already on the limit because they have to play 3 competitions, every game 90 mins with no real options to sub them. Sometimes even 3 games in 8 days.

If we had 1 game a week and we still play as Gareth said, pragmatic/dull football i would be more worried , Mourinho is intentionally playing like this to survive not because he wants to play like this.

Now.. he could ofcourse play C team in FA cup like Liverpool is doing and rest the players but he doesnt want to because he wants to win the FA cup.. soooo theres that.

We just have to hang in there, support the team, support the manager, good things will come :)

Your post is too measured and sensible. Shame on you :mourbye:

What gets me the most is while yes, the football is pretty awful at the moment, people are acting like we were playing amazing, free flowing attacking football pre-Mourinho. Mou has had Hugo out, Sissoko out, Kane out, now Son out, all after inheriting a team complete devoid of confidence and ideas, languishing 12th in the table. What the fuck are you expecting from a team with no strikers and nobody that can play as a false 9?

But let's think back to Munich, 7-2. Let's think back to Brighton, 3-0, where we didn't look like scoring in 900 minutes of football, let alone 90. Newcastle at home, 0-1. Sheff Utd at home, Colchester, any of the league games at the back end of last season. We've been playing like this for over a year but some of you are too blinkered by your love of Poch to see otherwise.

I'm definitely not sold on Mourinho but I've seen a few glimpses here and there that make me optimistic. Judging him on anything other than next season, when he has a full summer and a full squad, is just ridiculous though.

It staggers me that people are complaining. His remit for this season can only have been to try and scrape into the CL somehow. He's trying to do this pragmatically, which is why things are a little dull. When you consider that we are absolutely ravaged by injuries it all makes sense.

As long as we continue picking up points at the rate we have been since Mourinho took over, I will be patient with the lacklustre football this season. We may yet qualify for the CL , which was already impossible under Poch. If the football improves by March/April, I think we're good for next season.

We cant score goals. Its over

People STILL think this has anything to do with Mourinho, tactics or any manager in general. There is a sickness amongst spurs fans. A Fucking sickness. I swear levy pays people to spread propaganda across all these spurs forums. Whats he paying ya? 2p a post?? Fucking mental. Iv never seen a more deluded set of fans. It's a cult. The cult of Levy. It needs rooting out from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

No, we all have to judge him now, he was world class against villa because he won, but now he is a dinosaur because he lost, that's how is works right?!

A question to the frothing lynch mob who wanted Pocchetino sacked.

We've now suffered the humiliation of a Frank Lampard double in his first season of PL management.

Is this because he's a better manager than Jose?

Or is it because he doesn't have the tools to beat Lampards shower.

Gotta be one or the other.

If it's the former, will you all hold your hands up and admit you made complete fools of yourselves.

If it's the latter, maybe you'll be happy to finally admit Poch was magic and worked fucking miracles while being hamstrung by Levy

Poch repeat failed with a peak squad
There is no comparison

Try to remember you already said it was his fault in the domestics with team and tactics.

Anyway, not signing a striker was moronic and that’s on both Levy and Jose

It's truly amazing that when a manager describes his team as a gun without bullets, they then proceed to play like that, who'd have thunk that?
